Since Prep Redzone Kansas released the final rankings for the Class of 2025, five more Kansas athletes have committed to college programs.

Here is a quick look at each one, and we wish them the best of luck as they move on to college.

Prep Redzone scouts will continue to follow athletes and reach out to college coaches to find more signings. Plenty of programs are still looking to add talent.

Drennan Cantrell, ATH, 5'11”, 160, McLouth (Baker)

Cantrell is a versatile player who can play multiple positions. His HUDL profile lists that he has seen time at wideout, tight end, linebacker, and safety. He is quick and has nice hands. McLouth did not post stats online last season. His game film from last season highlights his playmaking skills. He has breakaway speed on offense and a knack for hunting balls on defense. He is an unranked prospect. He is one of three athletes who have recently announced their commitment to Baker University.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228516' first='Broderick' last='Desch'], RB, 5'8”, 190, Hayden (Baker)

I saw Desch play last fall and was impressed with his running ability. He is a physical runner who also played defensive line for the Wildcats. He looks like he could play fullback or tailback at the next level. He chose Baker over Bethany and Kansas Wesleyan. Baker has a long history of plucking talent out of Topeka. Desch could be the next Capital City Product to play Saturdays at Liston Stadium. Desch was ranked No. 336 overall in the final PRZ Kansas rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='284529' first='Eli' last='Broxterman'], ATH, 6'0”, 170, Axtell (Baker)

Broxterman is a great signing by Baker's coaching staff. He can do a little bit of everything on the field. You can record this for prosperity. Broxterman will be an impact player on special teams right away for the Wildcats. The Axtell prospect can impact an offense as a receiver or ball carrier. He can lead block on offense or knock ball carriers off their heels as a defender. He will add immediate depth to the Baker Roster. Broxterman is ranked No. 413 in the Kansas Class of 2025 rankings,

[player_tooltip player_id='716134' first='Jorge' last='Cereceres'], DL, 6'3”, 210, Lyons (Sterling)

The Lyons prospect will take the short drive south on K-14 to play college ball for the Sterling Warriors. He finished with over 100 tackles as a senior for the Lions. He was an athlete I did not get to see play in person, but I followed him closely on social media. He gets off the ball quickly and creates separation from blockers. He can be a game-changer at the college level. In this “transfer portal world” we are living in, I would not be surprised if he ended up at a Division II program after a couple of seasons in the NAIA.

[player_tooltip player_id='442346' first='Jeremiah' last='Rhoades'], ATH, 6'2”, 185, Olathe North (Independence CC)

Rhoades is ranked No. 378 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. He has committed to play for the Independence Pirates. Rhoades can play on either side of the ball. He finished with 34 tackles last season for Olathe North. He also made 10 receptions for 222 yards and five touchdowns. Rhoades has reliable hands and is a dangerous target in the red zone with his jumping skills. He might also have the coolest HUDL profile picture I have ever seen. After his time in JUCO ball, I see him as a slam dunk FCS prospect.
