We move the needle from #79 to #75 with this rankings countdown, breaking down the skillsets, development, and upside this group has shown. We certainly are starting to see a deeper group of young men that can play on Saturdays.

Last time I had Paxton graded for his quarterback reps, but man the light tape that is there shows me that this kid has found a great new home at wide receiver for Minot North. Not only is his change of direction seen quickly, but the speed and vision that Paxton has in the open field is a force to be reckoned with. I also am intrigued with his play recognition skills he shows off defensively as the agile movement and upside with his football IQ is intriguing.

Coming in as our QB9 in the 2027 North Dakota class is [player_tooltip player_id='1322096' first='Hudson' last='Rietschel'] of Northern Cass. The 6'1 165 pound dual-threat, shows off well-versed touch on intermediate routes and what makes those throws even more impressive is how calm he still looks under duress outside of the pocket. You can gauge he has great poise and balance with his throws, and puts his wide receivers in consistent possession to catch and go with his precision. Hudson is a young man I surely believe will move up by next update.

One of the higher upsides within this group, comes from [player_tooltip player_id='1292710' first='AJ' last='Fuller'] an offensive linemen from 11A State Champion Velva-Drake-Anamoose-Garrison. The 6'5 215 pounder passed the eye test during our live eval of the state championship game versus Kindred and is one that has a long reach and growing hands that showed off some good reps at the FargoDome from what I watched. The upside steams with growth with his pad-level and quicker movement with his footwork as a OL prospect still growing into his body from the hoops tape I found.

Kayden was a late bloomer we added late in the 2027 rankings update as one that now that I have the tape, I believe he has a solid ceiling to move up in this class with. Despite his smaller stature as a 5'8 175 pound linebacker, Kayden impresse me with the range he can cover with that size as I can tell the instincts for this kid outweight the measurables he has. He has great instincts as a linebacker that should see some movement by next update. Not on Twitter as of yet.

Ayden is a prospect you can constantly find on both sides of the ball, however his best tape in my eyes pops out as a linebacker. Based on seeing the physicality that Ayden draws when he makes contact, he constantly gets free in the backfield and you can see how much smoother his pursuit angles have gotten since we first had him out at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine. Ayden has grown sound with his football IQ and plays with a smooth balance between stopping the run and too in pass coverage as a linebacker I could see moving up by next update.
