The weekend has come and gone and we're ready to roll for a jam-packed March. Today, I'm looking at a few rising sophomores who have just made their way onto my radar. They all had quality film as freshmen and I think they are ready to take another step forward this fall. They're not super well-known right now, but they are definitely names that need to be on college coaches' radars. Look for them to hit the weights hard and see them continue to mature physically.

OL: [player_tooltip player_id='1633949' first='Jake' last='Seay'], 6'4" 315, Somerset

Seay is a big man with solid footwork, loose hips, and the ability to lock on to defenders at the second level. He stays hip to hip on double teams, he punches on a rise, and shows a strong anchor in his pass set. He takes smart angles to the block, he's a sticky blocker in man schemes, and can wash down defenders that get nosey. He moves fairly well for a guy his size, but he needs to show he can consistently finish blocks.

QB: Ben Odom, 6" 175, [player_tooltip player_id='1420652' first='Byron' last='Nelson']

Odom played at the lower levels but man was he sharp. He stands tall in the pocket with pressure coming, he's not phased by big hits and will bounce right back up, and shows rhythmic footwork. He can add another element to an offense as a runner between the tackles, he's got pinpoint accuracy in the red area and is a natural throwing off-platform. He's quite slippery and can evade rushers to buy himself time downfield for scramble drill throws.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1634070' first='Quinten' last='Padilla'], 6'2" 160, Johnson

Padilla has a nice frame that I think he'll fill out over the next three years, he's got blazing build-up speed and has quick hands to pluck the football out of the air. He can highpoint the football and will use his frame to shield the ball away from a defender, he's got easy body control & can fade late for back shoulder throws. He's got the creativity and change of direction to make something happen after the catch and is a master of the nine route.

QB/ATH: [player_tooltip player_id='1633940' first='Zarien' last='Adolphe'], 6" 190, Huntsville

This is an explosive prospect with the power to run you over and continue on his way. He's got terrific contact balance, he throws with anticipation and shows easy touch throwing outside the pocket. He's patient on called gap scheme runs, shows instant acceleration, and can make defenders miss at the third level.
