Here are some of our observations for Football City Elite:

Elan Bradley continued his good play from Saturday as he broke up a pass, dislodging the ball in the process and had another one near the end zone.

Ike Stevenson did a great job to dislodge the ball when it looked like the receiver was going to make the completion. Antwan West had an excellent drop into zone coverage and immediately followed it up with a big catch for a score in the 10AM game against Island Boyz. He also made a leaping catch to get a first down in the championship game against Matthews Elite. Speaking of a big catch, Cam Richardson caught a corner route late to give them a late advantage before Cam McCullough ended the game with an interception.

Evan Davis caught not one, but two tip drills in their second game against G7 Charlotte. One was for a first down and the other was a touchdown.

Additional Observations from Sunday's 12U session

Nate Salley made a pick early against Christian Royce, reading the quarterback's eyes to make an interception. This game was a defensive slugfest as Steven Brown of Christian Royce made an excellent break on the ball for an interception. Brown also made a catch in traffic to put them in scoring position.

Wilson Ledford of Island Boyz was impressive at the quarterback position. He led his team downfield and settled into his throws. He led his team downfield for consecutive scoring drives against 803 United. Blake Muskus is shifty in space and caught a slant for a touchdown, showing off good speed in the process. Another receiver that caught our eye was Winston McKoy who climbed the ladder for a score and knew where to find the green grass as he did that in all of the games we got to see him.

Bryson Mastroffki was at quarterback for CJ Silver and he did a good job of being efficient and took what the defense gave him. On defense, [player_tooltip player_id='1826077' first='Michael' last='Ashe'] showed excellent eyes to read the quarterback and knock the ball away for a turnover on downs.

Ziggy Davis made the game winning touchdown catch for Matthews Elite.

Gavin Brown was a standout for G7 Charlotte on defense, as he had an interception on the opening series. He also showed good hands to catch the ball and get up field quickly.
