Film Friday: Norcal's Next Rising Offensive Linemen

Ortiz had one of the most impressive frames in the OL group at the National Preps Showcase last month and has tons of growth potential and upside at the next level. Measuring at over 6'6+ he has an elite frame with the ability to pack on more weight and mass and still has two years left of his prep career. He is a natural bender that snaps out of his stance and creates immediate vertical push with a strong inside punch and some finish at the first level. He is still developing in pass protection with his footwork/body control but is still a very young prospect with tons of potential at the next level due to his length frame athleticism. It is only a matter of time before he collects his first offer.     Tasila is one of the more violent offensive linemen across the region heading into the 2025 season and projects as a interior prospect at the next level. He has a quick first step, is explosive off the ball and wins with hand violence and leverage at a point of attack. He shows he can combo to the second level and excels at blocking space while able to pull across the line of scrimmage and finish blocks downfield. He is a true technician in pass pro, and shows patience and is not a lunger with a solid base and excels against both speed and power rushers. Depending on the level, he could also project as a center in college and should continue seeing his stock rise.     Durkee is one of the better offensive linemen across the central valley, and plays tackle for Turlock at the prep level, but could kick inside in college due to length/size. He is quick off the ball, explosive out of his stance with a strong initial punch and some finish abilities at the first level and runs his feet through his blocks. He plays with a strong base, patient hands and is a high IQ blocker when picking up pressures and twists in pass protection. He should continue to see college interest come his way, and will be one of the top returning offensive players across the region heading into 2025.     Arvance is one of the premier tackles in Northern California in the 2027 class, and is a very athletic prospect with the frame and length to have plenty of growth potential moving forward. He is explosive off the ball, gets hands on defenders quickly and can quickly create immediate vertical push and seals off edge rushers. He wins with power and leverage at the point of attack and shows a good finish downfield with nasty intentions. In pass protection, he is patient, not a lunger and excels against both speed and power rushers. He shows he can scrape to the second level, takes the proper angles and is seemingly very comfortable out in space when blocking.     Cuffee is a true road grader in the Monterey Trail offense and is a excellent run blocker in the box and plays with good leverage, a quick first step and gets immediate vertical push off the ball. He shows he can finish at the first and second level and has good inside hand placement and a quick lockout to keep defenders off his chest. He is still developing in pass protection due to the run heavy offense he plays in but has the ideal size, frame, and strength for the next level and as a no-brainer college prospect and one of the top in Sacramento returning in 2025.
