Around the state of Kansas over a dozen Specialists have signed to go play College Football. Today we highlight some of my favorite signings who I think will have an impact for their prospective team during their time in College.

Kicker [player_tooltip player_id='1114812' first='Yusef' last='Iskandrani'] of Lawrence Free State High School recently committed to Butler Community College. Yusef had several Junior College offers as well as an offer from Washburn University. After going through the recruiting process Yusef tells us he felt like Butler was the best fit for him to pursue his dream at playing Division 1 football one day. Yusef has a talented leg who can kick the ball a mile long. Yusef showcased strong ball striking which was a big eye grabber when college coaches watched him kick this past season. His power and accuracy in the FG and KO game this year led him to being 1st Team All State. I see Yusef being a weapon for Coach Vignery and Butler CC this next year.

Garden City commit Long Snapper [player_tooltip player_id='1618266' first='Carter' last='Borlase'] came out of nowhere this year, and caught my eye as a Snapper who has the ability to play at a higher level someday. Most fans think of Snappers as nonathletic players who can't make an impact on the field. Carter was the complete opposite this year for Christ Prep as he was able to make key tackles in the punting phase of the game this past season. As I was scouting fellow teammate Junior Kicker [player_tooltip player_id='1522393' first='Archie' last='Esh'] for Christ Prep, I saw how greatly Archie benefited from Carter's on point FG snaps. This led Archie to having a successful year in the Kicking game. I see the same thing for Carter when he goes out to Garden City who currently has no other Snappers on the roster for next year. Be on the lookout for Carter making an impact at the Junior College level.

The best Punter in the 2025 class is going to the "show me" state Missouri to play for the Mules of Central Missouri. I have had the honor of watching Brody develop as a Combo Specialist over the past 4 years for the Wamego Red Raiders. As he finished his Junior year Brody had started leaning towards liking Punting over Kicking. Brody had already shown excellent development in his punting game and honed in on perfecting his drop, which is the most important thing as a Punter. Whenever Wamego needed a big Punt Brody delivered for his team. Brody has the frame to be an excellent Punter for the Mules like he was for Wamego over his 4 years and racking up multiple All State and All Conference awards at the 4A level.

Aidan Bonewits of Lansing High is staying home in the state of Kansas to play football at Highland Community College. Aidan who was a soccer player for all 4 years in High School decided his Senior year he wanted to give being a Kicker for the Football team a shot. He started going to see Punt 21 Kicking Services/Snyder Kicking to develop his kicking craft. Being a soccer player his whole life it was a transition that was tough at first, but over time he started to see the changes you want to see in a Kicker. He ended up connecting on 3 FG's this year and going 97% on PAT's this year for the Lansing Lions. Aidan is going to be a perfect fit for the Scotties as this gives him more time to develop into a more refined Kicker. I fully expect to see Aidan playing football past the Junior College level someday because of his work ethic and wanting to purse a dream.

One of the top Snappers in the state of Kansas is staying home and heading to Hutchinson Community College. Austin who also played Linebacker for Blue Valley showcased fast op times in Punt/FG, but also the athletic ability to cover downfield on Punts. I see Austin as a FCS/FBS D! Snapper one of these days. He has the athletic traits that most Snappers simply don't posses. Austin is not afraid to be physical at the line of scrimmage or at the 2nd level when covering down on punts. Austin had offers from Butler CC, Coffeyvile CC, Garden City CC, Independence CC, and Hutch CC. Austin will be a solid addition to the Blue Dragons who look to repeat a National Title run.
