Deep Dive: Stanly County Wide Receivers

Charlotte Football Insiders is taking a look at ranking the top Charlotte Metro Area players by position, and we're taking a look at those players in those rankings in a Deep Dive analysis series. In these articles, we will share why these players are ranked and their best attributes as potential college-level football players in their respective futures. This will feature Stanly County Wide Receivers.   <figure class="wp-block-image aligncenter size-large"><img src="https://prepredzone.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2025/03/11.png?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-1641031" /></figure>    Having wrote about Jasiah recently for our 704 Junior Bowl Series, I recently got a chance to see him in person at a local camp. I think with his production last season and his explosive ability when he gets into space, he earned the #1 ranking for the best receiver in Stanly County. For Jasiah to take a step from a recruiting perspective, I think as he gets stronger and gets to more camp settings, it will help with his exposure to show more people what he can do in those competitive settings. I expect him to have another productive season as his quarterback is returning as well, and they have a great connection already.     I also had a chance to see Dominik up close at a recent combine, and he was an impressive player. Dominik has some explosive speed and excellent agility in running his routes. I went back and looked at some film of his after this combine, and he does a good job of getting into space not only as a receiver but on special teams as a kick returner as well. He has a little bit of early interest from colleges, but he has a chance to jump on some radars this upcoming camp season if he continues to impress in these settings.     Kylan had some good production in the South Stanly offense last season. Taking a look at his film, Kylan does a good job of reading coverage, knowing how to settle in zone coverage holes versus running away from defenders in man coverage. Kylan showed some good speed and reliable hands, catching multiple passes in heavy traffic. Kylan can also be a threat on special teams as a kick returner, and can be a defensive back and help out in the secondary.     Jayden is a good athlete who also had a nice productive season for South Stanly last year. I think Jayden does well as a deep threat down the field, but he also can make some things happen in short spaces off screens and in the quick passing game with the ball in his hands. Jayden also plays some defense as a cornerback and does a good job of playing man coverage and getting his hands on some footballs in that role.     Shoddy"s film was a fun one to watch for me - he plays running back and slot receiver for Albemarle and I loved how Albemarle used him to showcase his talents. As a slot receiver, they got Shoddy the ball in the running game off of jet sweeps and he did a great job of exploding into space with speed. They also ran some quick screens with Shoddy and he did a good job of making defenders miss in the open field. Shoddy also caught the ball well off of slants over the middle where he got the ball on the move to maximize what he does well. I'm excited to see what he does in his junior season coming up.
