<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Our Winter rankings update pinpointed even more players from the 2026, 2027 and 2028 classes who have stood out in their respective positions. For a variety of reasons, our team decided that each of those new additions were worthy of a coveted spot in our rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>But we'd be naive to think we've evaluated everyone or didn't miss a few along the way.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The changing of the guard happens year after year, and, as such, PRZ South Carolina is constantly looking at as many of the 10,000-plus prep football players in the SCHSL and SCISA ranks as possible.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now, the Community Film Room is back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In each edition, we'll break down five unranked players from across the state to let you see what we're seeing. He was one of the initial players first-year coach Leon Boulwared identified to help lead his defense, and then Simuel went on to open the 2024 season on abolute tear. He had 18 tackles in game one and at least 11 in each of his first six games.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">In October, Simuel was sat due to a coach's decision and the point was made. What's happened since could be a very good indication of a linebacker who will be playing for not only a freakish stat line for possible Class 5A all-state honors. Yet, this offense banks on defenses not being concerned with the pass, and Mason is a really good reason they should be in 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">He hauled in 24 receptions for 332 yards and a pair of touchdowns last fall. Primarly lining up off tackle, he can separate quickly from the line, has the strength and footwook to break away from defenders and some nifty hands. Flash forward a year, and first-year coach Isaian Perrin's unit was dramatically improved (24 points per game). Eikenberry was one of the pieces that made the new schme much more effective.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">During his sophomore season, the middle linebacker was ultra-aggressive at the beginning of the year and morphed into a much more adaptive player who was making more and more plays around the field and not just at the line. Brewton takes up a ton of real estate, and he makes penetrating the middle of the line quite difficult against the run or pass alike.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">His ability to drive downfield, though, is what makes him as equally recruitable as it does dangerous as a high school player. During a junior year in which is averaged about nine tackles per game, he was frequently using his 6-foot-3 frame to shrink the field by sealing off the edge.
