He is an exceptional WR but McKinley's run dominated offense limited his statistical output. He has fantastic intuition and uses his hands well. Darnell has fluid hips and is an excellent shutdown CB. In years prior, he has shown he can be a solid WR. His senior year should bring a lot of attention from college recruiters.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rising the Ranks</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Several DB had breakout campaigns. Luis Diaz from Jamestown made 2nd team All WNY and All State Honorable Mention in his first varsity season. Meanwhile, the Maryvale Flyers have 2 incoming seniors that displayed some high ceilings. Safeties [player_tooltip player_id='1743157' first='Sadiq' last='Qayel'] and Carter Woods combined for 80 tackles and 3 INTs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Other players I really liked were Frank Buttitta from Starpoint and [player_tooltip player_id='1743162' first='Noah' last='Bohlman'] from Lockport. Buttitta has sound technique and is exceptional playing man-to-man or zone. Same goes for Bohlman, who had a huge sophomore season but took a step back as a junior, as did Lockport as a team. But I think both these players will make names for themselves as seniors.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Players to Watch</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A couple names that are new to me this off season are [player_tooltip player_id='834566' first='Liam' last='McQuiggan'] from Dunkirk and [player_tooltip player_id='1624558' first='Patrick' last='Horsmon'] from Williamsville East. McQuiggan is a solid shutdown CB with superb tackling technique while Horsmon is a quintessential FS with excellent ball hawking skills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Look for big senior seasons from [player_tooltip player_id='1354320' first='Malik' last='Worthy'] from Bennett and [player_tooltip player_id='606268' first='Jajuan' last='Williams'] from Sweet Home. Worthy and Williams are both shifty CBs with solid form. They will be looked upon to fill holes in both team's secondary.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
