<p>Sunday's MVP performance at the Carolina Coaches Combine held at Woodland High School further highlighted reasons for the high interest. Exhibiting breakout speed in the 40-yard dash, coupled with showing solid hands during the individual and 1-on-1 drills, the 5-foot-8.5, 172-pounder clearly stood out among the 123 Class of 2027 and 2028 players in attendance.</p>

<p>Aside from competition and getting physical measurements, Kelly-Murray said Sunday's combine served an additional purpose.</p>

<p>“Getting better and making everybody else better,” he said. “Today, it was just like a workout for me. Everybody was getting better. Coming out here and having fun.”</p>

<p>The 5-foot 9, 154-pound rising junior displayed his leg strength in two events. His combine-best 38.8 inches beat out second-place defensive back <strong>Khyree Pollard </strong>of Midland Valley by nearly 1 ½ inches. He also had a broad jump of 104 and his 4.79 time in the pro shuffle was in the Top 10 among linebackers.</p>

<p>Displaying a strong, accurate arm which produced 1,355 yards and 13 touchdowns last season, the 6-foot-1, 197-pound rising junior caught the combine coordinators' eye early. His broad jump of 117 was one of just 11 that cleared 110 on the day. Raniszewski was also no slouch in the bench press with 17 reps.</p>

<p>Dutch Fork assistant coach Napoleon Hinton raved about the 6-foot-1, 329-pound rising junior. He used his ferocity and 77-inch wingspan to out physical opposing defensive linemen during 1-on-1 competition. His 30 reps in the bench press also outdistanced the competition.</p>

<p>At 6 feet, 179 pounds and possessing a 76.75 inch wingspan, the rising junior has the build to be an effective wide receiver. He also exhibited more than average lower body coordination and mobility with a 4.34 time in the pro shuffle.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='378969' first='Jaiden' last='Kelly-Murray'] was not the only All-State Green Wave sophomore to have a breakout season. The leading rusher for the Class 5A Division I runner-up, Williams finished with just over 2,010 yards and 25 touchdowns. On Sunday, the 5-foot 6, 161-pound rising junior outraced the field with a time of 4.45 seconds. Williams further showed his explosiveness and versatility during competitive drills.</p>

<p>The 6-foot 2, 329-pound rising senior quite literally stood tall among the combine participants. He posted the fourth most reps (13) in the bench press, His 77.75 inch wingspan allowed him to hold his own among other defensive linemen with similar height and build. Crockett also showed solid footwork during the step over drills.</p>

<p>The 6-foot 2, 185-pound Stag described himself as a “dog” determined to get the football. He demonstrated that ability making catches while heavily defended and running clean patterns. (On the combine roster, fellow attendee and rising sophomore Hanahan offensive lineman<strong> Elijah T Mitchell</strong> of Hanahan had a similar first name spelling.)</p>

<p>The 5-foot 11, 200-pound Ponkow played an integral role in the Bishops winning their first region title in a decade. He finished his sophomore year with 98 total tackles and 11 sacks. His pass-rushing skills were on full display going head-to-head against equally talented offensive linemen. Ponkow's upper body strength and 77-inch wingspan made his difficult to contain. In addition, he also completed 18 reps in the bench press. His pro shuffle time of 4.63 was also the fastest among defensive linemen.</p>

<p>The 6-foot, 171-pound rising sophomore has had the spotlight upon him dating back to 8th grade. He displayed a 35.7 inch vertical leap and showed versatility in defending wide receivers and pursuing running backs. Denmark also demonstrated his upper body strength with 12 reps in the bench press.</p>

<p>With [player_tooltip player_id='1012621' first='Devin' last='Geronomi'] graduating, the Timberwolves may have his successor in waiting. The 5-foot 11, 154-pound rising sophomore with a 76-inch wingspan possesses similar physical attributes. He also has a 37-inch vertical leap which allows Winn to jump against other wide receivers. As he continues to get mentored by defensive-minded head coach Nick Pelham, expect Winn to develop into a formidable safety.</p>

<p>The 6-foot, 166-pound rising junior made an instant positive impression on Lewisville head coach Trent Usher in a playoff loss last season. He led by example Sunday, posting the second-fastest time in the pro shuffle (4.38 seconds). He impressed the coaches on hand with his willingness to follow instruction as well as motivating other combine participants. Look for Summers to take an expanded role in the Trojans' offense next season. </p>
