The Battle 7v7 circuit made its annual stop in New Orleans' City Park this weekend for an event always among the highlights of the spring season.

Talented teams and prospects from coast to coast made the trip to The Boot to compete in the tournament, including some notable in-state representatives.

Here's a look at five of the Louisiana student-athletes who caught our attention on offense during 18U competition.

The LSU commit had to watch the bulk of Sunday's bracket play to be careful with an injury heel. But during Saturday's pool-play action, Anderson was among the more effective weapons for the eventual runner-up Coastline Stars with his quickness to cross up and lose defenders and get free at every level of the field, his ability to adjust in the air and make plays with late separation from tighter coverage and even a little toughness to make strong catches through some occasional surprising contact in the touch setting.

[player_tooltip player_id='1603279' first='Cardarrian' last='Devers'] — 5-11, 160 WR — Captain Shreve (2026)

Returning from a broken finger, the Gators' standout caught everything thrown his way as a top weapon for Team Heru with a good combination of size and athleticism for the next level and the ability to reliably make even acrobatic receptions, including a leaping one-handed touchdown grab in the back of the end zone with a defender closing in.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250887' first='Peyton' last='Houston'] — 6-0, 195 QB — Evangel Christian (2027)

On a windy weekend that didn't provide particularly favorable conditions for quarterbacks, the sophomore standout was among the tournament's more effective passers with his arm strength and spiral to cut through the wind on downfield throws and his great anticipation and ball placement to maximize his opportunities for his Team Heru teammates and limit mistakes. His only interception in five games came on a play in which the pass his target in the hands, but bobbled and bounced over his shoulder to a defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1250280' first='Ryan' last='Moore Jr.'] — 5-10, 160 ATH — East Feliciana (2027)

F3 Elite's Team Juice used at least four quarterbacks and had a handful or more of different receivers appear to take turns stepping up in different sequences. And the versatile young playmaker from East Feliciana stood out as much as anyone with his quickness and athleticism to create separation before and after the catch, shaking defenders and getting upfield for big chunks of additional yardage.

[player_tooltip player_id='283987' first='Roderick' last='Tezeno Jr.'] — 6-2, 175 WR/DB — Opelousas Catholic (2026)

The Vikings' multisport standout was again a top weapon for 4th Quarter Mentality as a long, lean and quick athlete capable of routing himself free at every level of the field or to make highlight-reel contested plays over defenders with his catch radius and ball skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581312' first='Greg' last='Wilfred'] — 5-9, 165 WR — Edna Karr (2026)

Another of the Louisiana members of the Coastline Stars squad that reached the tournament final, Wilfred had stretches as a go-to target slicing up underneath and intermediate routes as a smaller, quicker weapon out of the slot or backfield on an offense with its share of bigger-bodied or big-play targets.
