The 2028 class in Texas is already beginning to make a name for themselves. These youngsters have been impressive early on in their careers and have shown diverse skill sets. I think they're going to see their stock rise this offseason and beyond. Much like many rising sophomores, these guys are still developing and have their best ball ahead of them.

A talented two-way player that is physical coming downhill from his safety position, can come to balance and tackle in space and plays with disciplined eyes. On offense, he shows vision, burst, natural hands and is quite slippery at the tackle point. He'll make defenders look silly in space, he's creative and can make something happen with little blocking help, and has a powerful lower-half to accelerate through arm tackle attempts.

RB: [player_tooltip player_id='963958' first='Derrick' last='Tripp II'], 5'9" 155, Atascocita

A ferocious blocker on the outside that plays through the echo of the whistle. He's got the speed to get to the edge and outrun angles, he's got some wiggle after the catch, and has excellent vision with the ball in his hands. He plays a lot bigger than his listed height and isn't afraid to stick his nose in there on the defensive side of the football. He can turn a quick game concept into an explosive play and can line up at just about any skill position and make an impact.

This kid has heavy hands at the point of attack and is a violent tackler on impact. As a runner, he's a north & south back that will make you pay if you get in his way. He's tough, durable, and highly productive. He's got nifty footwork, and is patient behind the line, he can stick his foot in the dirt, accelerate and get to his top gear in a hurry. He's a load to bring down and will consistently finish runs falling forward.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id='1612376' first='Ryelin' last='Johnson'], 5'7" 140, Montgomery

Johnson is terrific at the top of routes and can generate plenty of separation between him and the defender. He takes pride in blocking, he can flip the field as a returner, and has excellent concentration on the 50/50 ball. He's a crispy route runner who can easily defeat man coverage and has the ability to take the top off a defense.
