2028 Rankings Update- Dominant Defenders Added to Our List

We have some unreal talent in this 2028 class!   Today, we are looking at what might be one of the most dominant groups of prospects we've seen yet- these guys put together huge seasons for their defenses last fall and aren't slowing down anytime soon!   As always- be sure to watch their tape below, you won't want to miss out on them!    [player_tooltip player_id='1261420' first='Aiden' last='Lyles'] is an up-and-coming DL/EDGE prospect out of Central who showed a ton of skills as both a pass rusher and run defender throughout his freshman season last fall.   Lyles is a disruptive force off the edge for Central- at 6'3 190 he has a great frame, tons of strength, and is really quick- all of which help him physically dominate the trenches. Lyles is explosive off the snap and has a bag of moves he uses to beat OTs, consistently providing great pressure on the quarterback, sacks, and tackles for loss against the run.   I'm incredibly impressed with Lyles at the line of scrimmage- he pairs his size and quick hands to fly through blockers and get to the ball, consistently creating great plays in pursuit in the backfield. It's seriously impressive watching him in the trenches, he's a really talented underclassman with a big future ahead of him at Central.   Check out Lyles' tape below and you'll see what I mean, it's hard to believe he's only a freshman- his sophomore season will be one to watch!      [player_tooltip player_id='1595856' first='Dwight' last='Beckford'] is a talented CB out of Spain Park who put together a really impressive season out in their secondary last fall, consistently defending the run and providing lockdown coverage outside all year long.   Beckford is an instinctual DB who thrives at locating and making plays on the ball- he consistently flies around the field to come up with huge stops against the run and pass nearly every down. I'm really impressed with Beckford's skills in coverage- he plays with tons of patience, doesn't let anyone behind him downfield, and can break on the ball and come up with some huge PBUs/INTs.   Beckford was also really productive against the run last season- he really showed off his speed and pursuit skills by flying downhill to come up with tackles near the line of scrimmage, and way upfield from where he initially lined up to prevent TD scoring plays.   Do yourself a favor and check out Beckford's tape below, he made some seriously impressive plays last fall and is set to do the same in his sophomore season here in the next few months.      [player_tooltip player_id='1261454' first='Cortez' last='Carr'] is a really impressive DL/LB prospect out of Buckhorn who has already made a huge impact along their defensive front both on and off ball.   Carr is an incredibly versatile defending who has spent time and made plays down on the line of scrimmage as a DE, and off-ball at LB. Carr can wreck havoc in the trenches- he explodes off the snap, is quick and overwhelms the OL across from him, and can create huge stops behind the line of scrimmage.   Although he's really talented as a DL prospect, Carr impresses me even more with his skills at LB- he is terrific in pursuit and consistently flies around the field to make sideline-to-sideline plays against the run.   No matter where he lines up you can count on Carr to deliver huge hits and to produce- he put together a terrific debut season last fall, ending his freshman year with 81 total tackles (34 solo, 15 for loss), one sack, and one forced fumble.   I was really impressed with Carr's tape from last season, he can do so many things well already and is only going to keep getting better- watch out for him this fall, he's set for a big sophomore season.      [player_tooltip player_id='1624837' first='Roman' last='White'] is a versatile LB out of Minor who made a ton of huge plays for his team's defense last fall. White is an every-down threat to opposing offenses- he plays with tons of speed, is terrific at tracking the ball, and can work from sideline to sideline to make some really impressive plays out in pursuit.   I'm super impressed with White's tackling- he wraps up well, allows little yardage after making initial contact, and also can deliver huge hits to the ball carrier. I'm just as impressed with White's skills as a blitzer, he can fight off blockers and easily make his way to the quarterback, consistently generating pressure and forcing bad decisions with the ball.   White also brings the same level of play to special teams- he came up with a ton of huge tackles against kick returners all year long, consistently helping his team prevent big returns.   White made a ton of plays throughout his freshman year, ending the season with 70 total tackles (33 solo, 9 for loss), one sack, 5 hurries, and two fumble recoveries.   [player_tooltip player_id='1624837' first='Roman' last='White'] has already put together some really impressive tape from last fall, he's a sideline-to-sideline playmaker with a bright future ahead of him in Minor's defense, you'll see what I mean in the clips below.      [player_tooltip player_id='1308415' first='Adyn' last='Vann'] is another really impressive LB in our 2028 class- he was really productive both on defense and special teams last fall, it's going to be exciting watching him going forward.   Vann is terrific at putting himself in position to impact plays- whether it be against the run, pass, or on special teams, he's always near the ball helping his team come up with stops. I'm really impressed with Vann's skills as a run defender- he consistently flies downhill, fills in rushing lanes, and fights off blockers to rack up tackles down by the line of scrimmage.   Vann brings the same level of play against the pass- he can cover tons of ground and is a reliable tackler out in the secondary that consistently keeps pass catchers behind the sticks.   Vann is a talented defender in our 2028 class with a big future ahead of him at Auburn, he's a playmaker set for a huge sophomore year, just watch!
