2028 Rankings Release: Offensive Line

As we get deeper into the month of March, the 2025 high school football season is in full swing! With that in mind, we will now be beginning another round of rankings updates. To kick off this round of updates, we have released our first rankings for the class of 2028. With these rankings being officially posted, I will be taking the next week or so to break them down by position. After already covering the offensive skill players, here are our top offensive linemen in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky.    [player_tooltip player_id='1638832' first='Ryan' last='Walls'] established himself as one of the top players in the state in his class with a very impressive freshman year. Walls lines up at left tackle where he is a dominant run blocker. He explodes out of his stance and is a true mauler, driving his man several yards down the field with ease. Walls is also a reliable pass blocker, showing the ability to defeat pass rush moves quickly. He also showed the ability to make an impact on the defensive side of the ball as a defensive tackle. Ryan currently holds offers from Florida State, Eastern Kentucky, and Marshall, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Power 4 caliber prospect.     [player_tooltip player_id='1268014' first='Christian' last='Bryant'] is another offensive lineman who has established himself among the top overall players in his class in the state of Kentucky. Bryant has shown a ton of versatility, taking reps at both tackle spots as well as inside at guard. He is very impressive in the run game, showing the ability to drive his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage. When playing guard, he has shown the ability to pull and pick up blocks in the open field. Bryant currently holds offers from Kentucky and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division 1/Power 4 caliber prospect with room to continue to develop.     [player_tooltip player_id='871294' first='Hudsen' last='Close'] is a player who caught my attention quickly with a very impressive freshman year. He lines up at left tackle where he is a very reliable run blocker. Close is very impressive as a down blocker, showing the ability to explode out of his stance and drive his man out of the picture quickly to create an outside running lane. He finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Close is also reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to keep a strong base while absorbing contact, not allowing much penetration into the pocket. Hudsen currently holds offers from Liberty, East Carolina, and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.     [player_tooltip player_id='317589' first='Connor' last='Blevins'] is another offensive lineman who stood out to me as a freshman. Blevins lines up at left guard where is a mauler in the run game. He explodes out of his stance and does a great job of driving his feet through contact to drive his man down the field through the whistle. Connor has also shown the ability to pull and destroy any defender in his path as a lead blocker. Blevins doesn't currently hold any offers but I can see that changing soon as I believe he has the potential to become a Division I caliber prospect.     To wrap up our top five offensive linemen in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1270351' first='Ethan' last='Cobb']. Cobb lines up at center where he is very impressive as a run blocker. He does a great job of getting the snap off quickly then driving through his man to create movement off the line of scrimmage. Cobb finishes his blocks through the whistle with a ton of physicality. He is also reliable in pass protection, showing the ability to pick up stunts/blitzes while keeping a strong base, not allowing for much penetration into the pocket. Cobb doesn't currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player who college coaches should keep an eye on heading into his sophomore season.
