2026 Running Back Follow Up

We are also expecting some of them to see a stock rise this summer. He was also really impressive when he showed up to the Under Armour Combine in New Orleans. Baker is a stud who knows how to punch the football up the middle. It is not hard for him to get loose when he is in the trenches. Baker has good vision that helps him pick the right holes. He is from the Terry community. Their community thrives off of having speed. Not only does Baker have good size, but he can really run. This young man is a division one prospect all day long.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1019185' first='Jordan' last='Stapleton']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We have bragged on Stapleton a lot over his career. He is one of those running backs who loves to get his yards between the tackles. The young man from West Harrison is one of the best players in the state for the 2026 class. Stapleton knows how to get shifty when he needs to. He has good speed and does a good job of making running backs miss. You are going to want to know who he is this year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1335720' first='Damarius' last='Yates']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Yates is a top running back from Kemper County who has been excelling over in the eastern Mississippi area. We know him to be a player who has a lot of speed and some quickness. He can get to the outside and be very dangerous. Yates has a busy offseason ahead of him. Time for him to catch up with a lot of programs who are looking forward to him coming to play for their school. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Nyrikius Johnson </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson is a player from Germantown who had another good season last year after a good sophomore season in 2023. He is a player who can get things done between the tackles and on the outside. Johnson also has some good hands out of the backfield. We do think that he is a division one player. He knows how to break off long runs while making sure nobody is going to catch him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
