Updated Rankings: Washington 2028 Top 130 (#11-25)

*PLEASE NOTE- This is very much just a preliminary list with the athletes still being freshman. There will be numerous changes and individuals added in the coming months/years, so expect a lot of movement.    We will have the 2028 athletes broken down into tiers with articles denoting #1-10, #11-25, and #26-60. The strength of Washington's 28' class is very apparent with eight athletes already holding D1 offers. He hit on 70% of his passes (138/188), throwing for 1,920 yards and 19 TDs. His confidence and pinpoint accuracy at such a young age is impressive.    12.[player_tooltip player_id='985358' first='Cale' last='LaFountaine'] 6-5 290 T/DL Orting   All the potential in the world.  Lafountaine showed flashes of dominance as a freshman. His size and physicality will help him to compete at the highest level collegiately.    13.[player_tooltip player_id='685329' first='Deondriel' last='Paine'] 6-1 210 RB/LB Roosevelt   Paine got in the mix for a good Roosevelt team, averaging 5 yards per carry. He's a big back who possesses legit size and speed but could end up projecting from his LB spot.    14.[player_tooltip player_id='985355' first='Amosa' last='Masaniai'] 6-1 205 Safety Emerald Ridge   Love this kid's film. Masaniai looks the part and has a unique understanding of the game at a young age. He earned honorable mention all SPSL honors at Safety, finishing the year with 34 tackles and 3 INTs.    15.[player_tooltip player_id='928181' first='Marcus' last='Ronquillo'] 5-9 170 RB/DB Yelm   The last name speaks for itself. Watch the film and you will see one of the most exciting players in the NW. Ronquillo killed it as a freshman going for 500+ yards and 6 TDs. Defensively he is elite as well.    16.[player_tooltip player_id='1339295' first='Chance' last='Hatchett'] 6-0 220 OLB Ferndale    From a projection standpoint a lot will depend on continued growth. Everyone is aware of the talent within the family. Hatchett had a good season playing varsity ball as a freshman.    17.[player_tooltip player_id='999744' first='Wonderful' last='Glenn'] 6-1 180 WLB Timberline   Timberline went 1-8 but the freshman Glenn was a huge bright spot and he will be crucial in the program's future. He had an unreal year on D, making 74 tackles, with 6 TFL's, 2 sacks, and 2 INTs.    18.[player_tooltip player_id='1335368' first='Josiah' last='Laurence'] 6-2 170 WR Cascade Christian   Laurence is an impressive overall athlete with legit size. He got in the mix as a freshman, averaging 20.3 yards per catch in limited time. The 1A school has a plethora of up-and-coming talent.    19.[player_tooltip player_id='1335622' first='Mekhi' last='Fields'] 5-11 180 DB Rainier Beach    Fields had a breakout season earning 2nd team all-Metro honors as a freshman. Something incredibly tough to do. His no-nonsense demeanor in the secondary and ability close on the ball will have him on multiple division 1 boards.    20.[player_tooltip player_id='1227309' first='Zayden' last='Homann'] 6-1 155 QB Yelm   Look for Homann to potentially make a big jump up this list. He impressed over the off season on the camp & 7v7 circuit. Look for him to excel leading one of WA's top programs.    21.[player_tooltip player_id='995881' first='JT' last='Williams'] 6-0 165 RB Lincoln   Williams has had a lot of success coming up through the youth ranks and played some varsity ball as a freshman, averaging 12 yards per carry in limited action. He will be a big part of the Abes future.    22.[player_tooltip player_id='985350' first='Uzyah' last='Thomas'] 6-3 260 DL Lincoln   The big man had a solid freshman season with Lincoln featuring a host of young talent on the offensive and defensive front. Thomas made 13 tackles on the year and possesses impressive versatility.    23.[player_tooltip player_id='1615830' first='Cooper' last='Cissne'] 5-8 165 CB/ATH Chiawana   It's extremely rare for any freshman to earn 1st team all-conference honors at the 4A level, but Cissne did just that. Chiawana lost in triple overtime to state champ Sumner in the semifinals.    24.[player_tooltip player_id='1012776' first='Matthew' last='Curran'] 6-4 230 OL/TE Bellevue    There is still a lot yet to be determined when it comes to Curran but his overall athleticism (basketball) and size make him an intriguing prospect.    25.[player_tooltip player_id='984903' first='Calvin' last='Middendorf'] 6-2 270 G Lake Stevens   The power lifter will be one of the best O lineman in the state in the years ahead. He will definitely project on the interior with size being the only question.
