It's Thursday and today we're looking at some explosive prospects on the perimeter that are flying under the radar. These guys had productive junior seasons and caught my eye on film. They're not seeing a ton of recruiting attention at the moment, however, I do think more schools need to know about them. After having big junior campaigns, look for their 2025 seasons to be even better.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561298' first='Finn' last='Smith'], 5'8" 160, Fairfield

A dazzling route runner who generates plenty of separation at the top of routes and is a natural at tracking deep shot throws. What he lacks in size he makes up for in transition skills, wiggle, and body control. He's a dynamic return man who can take it the opposite way 99 yards to the house, he's got excellent vision and can cut back against the grain for late added yardage.

Drew Norrell, 5'10" 170, Westwood

Drew is a natural hand fighter against press coverage, he can hold the line with a defender in his hip pocket and does a good job going up and high-pointing the football. He can line up in the backfield & add value as a runner as a wildcat quarterback, he can defeat rolled-up man coverage out of the slot and has strong hands in traffic. He has the body control to adjust midflight to either back shoulder or underthrows.

[player_tooltip player_id='1525071' first='Walker' last='Dietze'], 6'2" 190, Cuero

Walker has pretty good size for the position, he has a massive catch radius and is tough to bring down in space. He's got nifty footwork, plenty of build-up speed, and the ability to track the deep ball over the shoulder. He does a good job shooting his hands late & plucking the football out of the air, and he can line up just about anywhere & generate explosive plays.

Logan McCormick, 5'9" 155, Seminole

A smaller slot that knows how to manipulate defenders and get open in the red area. He's a filthy route runner who can make defenders look silly, he's slippery with the ball in his hands and never lets his feet stop churning on contact. This kid just knows how to get open and can make something happen after the catch.

Saxon Gumabong, 5'8" 150, Elkins

Another shifty receiver who does his best work out of the slot, he's got pinpoint concentration and blazing speed. He can take the top off a two-high shell, he's got fiery change of direction and is a YAC machine. He can turn a quick game concept into a big play and is a stout punt returner.
