Dequan is an athletic defensive back who had a productive senior season. Dequan had 55 total tackles, with 28 of them being solo tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 3 pass break-ups. Dequan also showed some receiving skills on offense with 10 catches for 120 yards on the season. Dequan recently received his first college football offer from St. Andrews. Dequan I think fits well as a slot corner early in his career because he likes to be physical and tackles well in space. Dequan was also named an All-Conference player this past season.

Jamarcus has not signed yet, but he has had his share of recruiting attention from college football programs. This past season Jamarcus had 60 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 8 pass-breakups, 2 sacks, and 1 interception. Jamarcus is a fast player who excels in man coverage on the outside against wide receivers. Jamarcus has offers from St. Andrews and Concord Universities, along with Guilford and Brevard College currently. I spoke with Jamarcus before this past season during the summer:

I had the pleasure of seeing Zion up close at a post-season showcase, and I think he is a player who can help a college program. Zion has worked hard in the weight room and has good size for his position. Zion can also play corner and safety, and shows good coverage skills on film, primarily playing a lot of off-man coverage, but he moves his feet well, and in press situations, he did not get beat over the top often that I saw. With a 3.3 GPA, I think Zion would be able to accept any opportunity that came his way.

Estmas recently received an offer from Methodist University and has had some interest from multiple other post-grad & college football programs. Estmas is a Defensive Back first, but he has some excellent athleticism, as he played running back as well in his high school career. As a defensive back with his size, I think Estmas fits best as a strong safety/rover type of player who plays on the edge of the box. Estmas has good speed and gets to the ball very well in the running game. That speed also allows him to play good coverage against slot receivers in the passing game.

Jaylen has offers currently from Bluefield State, Methodist, and Brevard College. As a free safety prospect, Jaylen lists a 3.38 GPA on his Twitter profile, definitely a plus when college football programs are looking at you at this point in the recruiting game. When watching Jaylen's film, the impressive thing is the way he comes down and fills the alley in run support. Jaylen is an excellent open-field tackler and can bring the wood when coming downhill. I almost venture to think his future might be a strong safety with that ability and fearlessness to help in the running game.

Deandre recently picked up an offer from Brevard College, and I think he should have some more attention coming his way. Deandre is a hard worker in the weight room, and his physical frame is a plus for the defensive back position that he plays. This past season he had 34 tackles and 2 tackles for loss, playing against a lot of run-first teams that his high school played against. Deandre played a strong safety type of role for his team, and the thing I like best is his ability to tackle in the open field. I think Deandre can be a good special teams player for a college while they develop and round out his game overall.

Jaidyn currently has offers from Erskine College and Bluefield State University, and they are smart to take a good look at this talented defensive back prospect. Jaidyn played a hybrid strong safety/outside linebacker role for the Green Wave this past season and excelled in both run support and pass coverage concepts. In the run game, Jaidyn did a good job of not letting ball carriers get outside and tackled well in the open field. In pass coverage, Jaidyn showed good discipline in zone concepts especially and had a couple of good pass break-ups on film as a result of that.
