We are almost ready to reveal our winter update to the Class of 2026 Rankings, but before we do that I wanted to highlight a few incoming seniors who I believe are flying under the radar. These guys have stood out during film reviews, and all have the potential to play ball at the next level.

It's very surprising to me to see a player as disruptive and dominant as [player_tooltip player_id='487614' first='Logan' last='Holtmeyer'] still holding out for his first offer. Logan emerged on our radar as a freshman, where he flashed a ton of upside as an interior defender and then went on to impress as a talented wrestler. Since then, Logan has continued to be a consistent terror for opposing offenses with his elite ability to penetrate the line of scrimmage and make splash plays in the backfield. As I mentioned, Holtmeyer is a very skilled wrestler, which translates well to the gridiron with his excellent use of leverage and hand usage to overpower his opponents. His strong, sturdy base allows him to anchor down and stack up blockers before ripping through his gap. In 2024, Holtmeyer led the state in sacks with 12, while also posting 68 total tackles, a whopping 37 TFLs, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He's a very good tackler He's not getting far once he's got you in his grasp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1617416' first='Caejon' last='Suttles'] (@CaejonS), QB - Grand Island Northwest - 6'0" 210 lbs

Last season seemed to be the "Year of the 2026 QB," with so many junior gun-slingers emerging as top-tier prospects. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1617416' first='Caejon' last='Suttles'] was among that group of breakout QBs as he led the GI Northwest Vikings back to the playoffs. Ultimately, Caejon threw for 1,369 yards and 12 touchdowns on a 55% completion rate while proving to be a threat on the ground with 435 rushing yards (team leader) and three rushing touchdowns. Although there were some growing pains as he got more settled in the offense, the upside is clearly there with a strong arm that allows him to take the big shots downfield and toughness as a runner. Part of what stood out about Caejon was his calmness in the pocket and ability to evade the pass rush as he kept his feet moving, looking for open targets downfield. Big offseason coming up for Caejon and the Vikings!

[player_tooltip player_id='1617380' first='Zeke' last='Mullendore'] (@ZekeMullendore), OL - Lincoln Pius X - 6'4" 265 lbs

Here's a big mauler you should add to your boards ASAP! Lincoln Pius X's [player_tooltip player_id='1617380' first='Zeke' last='Mullendore'] is an impressive OL prospect who brings size, athleticism, and a mean streak to the field. Starting off with his size, Zeke's 6'4" and 265-pound frame projects well to play either guard spot at the next level with room to continue packing his frame. Mullendore continues to impress with how well he can move in space, showing he can build solid momentum before exploding through defenders when executing pulling blocks. He does a great job with his hand positioning when making contact, but it is difficult to disengage when he can get his hands inside the defender's frame. Good leg drive, consistent hip bend, and pad level throughout his reps. Expect coaches to make a move on Zeke this offseason!

[player_tooltip player_id='1270806' first='Cole' last='Miller'] (@colemiller45), LB - Bennington - 6'1" 205 lbs

I'm sure the Badgers are excited to get a player like junior [player_tooltip player_id='1270806' first='Cole' last='Miller'] back next season, holding down the middle of the defense. With a bigger role during his junior campaign, Miller really came into his own with 90 tackles, 8 TFLs, 5 sacks, 3 interceptions (one pick-six), and a forced fumble. On top of possessing solid size for a linebacker (6'1”, 205 lbs), Cole also brings a mean, physical edge to the field, displaying an intense motor and nonstop pursuit. He is very sharp when it comes to reading his keys with a quick break on the ball that allows him to spring downhill when he reads the run. Fast first step. Miller is an excellent tackler with the closing speed to hawk down ball carriers and implements sound technique to make him a reliable tackler in the open field. Cole's ability to consistently apply pressure at the line of scrimmage, either to shut down the run or get to the QB, will be sure to draw attention from colleges this spring!

[player_tooltip player_id='533081' first='Hunter' last='Luther'] (@hunterluther22), RB/LB - Howells-Dodge - 6'2" 190 lbs

Howells-Dodge's [player_tooltip player_id='533081' first='Hunter' last='Luther'] is another player who has posted consistent production throughout their career. Hunter is a player with tons of potential on either side of the ball, proving to be a bruising RB and a thumper at LB. Luther was a big play machine last season as he rushed for 1,716 yards and 28 touchdowns on only 167 carries, averaging an exceptional 10.3 yards per carry (3,620 rushing yards and 56 TDs - career). As I mentioned, Hunter is a punishing RB who uses his bigger, 6'2" and 190-pound frame to barrel through defenders when running between the tackles. Even as a bigger back, Luther displays good pad level when carrying the ball and plays with good contact balance to power through tackle attempts. He sees the field very well and shows enough wiggle to break free when he finds an open lane. Hunter also brings the physicality to the defensive side of the ball with as a strong, reliable run defender who can take down ball carriers in the open field.
