We move back into North Dakota with prospects that we saw move up our rankings within the Top 100, which due to our last update with this being a brand new class, is a difficult feat to do as so much changes from freshmen to sophomore year for many young men. A couple I will call out already as stockrisers by next update and others have plenty of upside left to show in the coming year or two.

Easton is a 2027 linebacker that saw some good movement upwards in this class out of Harvey-Wells County and one that I feel could keep rising next time too. Love this young man's great vision when getting downhill. Easton shows off one that is persistent finding the ball and still has some solid upside to grow with his pursuit angles but it's clear that he is instinctive with identifying the point of attack. I was impressed too with his awareness in pass coverage as I feel he might possess some position flexibility to play safety at the next-level which opens the door in my eyes for more opportunity as one that I could tell could be a threat sideline to sideline in the coming years.

The quick release that Paxton shows off the snap and the athleticsm he has for his size were both key skillsets that jumped out to me on tape right away. The 6'1 160 pounder from Dickinson is one that can operate well in tight windows as a pass-catcher as I could grasp he is one that if his first look isn't there, this kid knows how to improvise to get a better second look for his quarterback. Paxton is a wide receiver that shows vividly on tape that he can play at any wide receiver spot too which impressed me as another stockriser up our 2027 ND rankings and another I'll say early, will likely move up next time depending on what we see at college camps this summer.

Emmit moves up our rankings as our LB5 in this updated 2027 North Dakota class, and is one that plays way bigger than the 5'10 170 pound size you see. He also shows off a linebacker that is more elusive getting thru contact areas than you might expect and without a doubt when Emmit makes contact, the physicality sticks out like a sore thumb. Also with his athletic movement, Emmit is a linebacker that can come out of nowhere and come make the tackle as an 11A state champion that was impressive with the Aggies as a sophomore to know.

Preston is still one of my favorite 9-man targets we identified at the NDSU prospect camp last summer, as a defensive linemen that plays with a relentless motor and shows off a chip on his shoulder mentality too. He showed off the attention to detail at NDSU, as the moves he learned at camp show up quickly on tape with getting off blocks quicker and more powerful than you would expect out of a 6'0 200 pound defensive end. Preston also shows off his balanced pad-level on tape on a consistent basis getting quick downhill leverage. I could see positional movement to linebcker for Preston to linebacker at the next-level due to the big motor I have seen a bunch over the last seven months. He also reports a 405 pound squat which is another number I like for the linebacker position from an upside perspective. Twitter

Another 9-man target that moved up to QB6 in our 2027 ND rankings also hailing from LaMoure-Litchville/Marion is quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1320074' first='Mason' last='Warcken']. The 6'1 170 pounder, shows off good and growing pocket presence and a shows off a quick release that shows off good fluidity in his finish in my eyes. The tape might be limited, but I got my eyes on this kid a bunch during the 9-man state championship game and the upside I saw in that game is there, as Mason too showed off a gunslinger with zero quit in what was a lopsided game.
