The 2025 Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit kicked off in north Texas with the second annual Lonestar State Showdown. It was a great weekend of football in Frisco and we have had a ton of content dropping, looking at some of the best players that stood out. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at some of the best quarterbacks that stood out to us in the 18U division. Now, if a player isn't listed on this, we might have already covered him earlier this week. But these eight quarterbacks definitely caught our eye and we're fired up to see where they go from here. Keep it locked into Prep Redzone for more coverage of this weekend's Lonestar State Showdown!

[player_tooltip player_id='291974' first='Braeden' last='Imhoff'] - 2026 - DFW Pride

When we got a chance to really watch 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='291974' first='Braeden' last='Imhoff'], DFW Pride was going into a pretty steady wind. That gave us a chance to see how he would adjust with the weather and it didn't look there was any adjustment necessary. Imhoff threw the ball with zip and got the ball to his receivers in a hurry. The decision making of Imhoff was another thing that really stood out to us throughout the weekend. He definitely made some hard throws look simple during the tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Braylen Fisher - 2027 - SOS Strikers

SOS Strikers were well represented over the weekend and it started with 2027 quarterback Braylen Fisher. We were really impressed with how effortless it looked at times for Fisher and how the ball just jumped out of his hands or with a simple flick of the wrist. Another thing worth mentioning was his ability to alter his arm angle to make some more difficult throws in tighter windows. There weren't many mistakes that we saw from Fisher and on Saturday, at times, it looked like was the best quarterback in the 18U tournament field.

Darrick Todd Jr - 2027 - NTX Eagles Elite

2027 quarterback Darrick Todd Jr was one of the first quarterbacks at the 18U level that stood out to us during the weekend in Frisco. Todd was in a similar category as Fisher from the Strikers, where he could alter his arm angle and made a lot of tough throws look effortless. His arm strength also stood out to us as he had a rocket attached to his shoulder. But he wasn't overthrowing his receivers like some of the other trigger-happy quarterbacks this weekend. He had a solid fastball but it was under control and got to his intended receiver.

[player_tooltip player_id='1180281' first='Kaden' last='Arnot'] - 2026 - Godspeed

Looking back at some of our notes from Frisco, it looked like Godspeed had a few quarterbacks that stood out to us in one way or another. But when it came down to it, 2026 signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1180281' first='Kaden' last='Arnot'] was a guy that really shined bright from start to finish. He had an excellent weekend and was incredibly accurate with the football. When we were watching him, it didn't look like he made too many bad throws and if he didn't get the ball to his receiver, he put it in a spot where only his receiver could get it and avoided the turnover bug.

[player_tooltip player_id='1597747' first='Lucas' last='Garza'] - 2026 - Prolific Breed

Prolific Breed was another 18U program that had several standouts on both sides of the ball. But for us, one of the top guys was 2026 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1597747' first='Lucas' last='Garza'] and he really stood out to us while watching him on Sunday during bracket play. Garza was getting the ball out of his hand quickly and he was another player that had no problem delivering the ball into a strong south wind. Garza had a really good weekend from what we watched and he's a 2026 name to know moving forward. This team had a few of those guys to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1616316' first='Micah' last='Skaggs'] - 2027 - ETX Mob Elite

We talked with one of the coaches for ETX Mob Elite and there's no doubt that this program has talent everywhere. But one of the guys that stood out the most was 2027 signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1616316' first='Micah' last='Skaggs'] and we got a chance to watch him up close on Saturday night to wrap up pool play. Skaggs was incredibly accurate with the football and rarely made a mistake that cost his team. Similar to a few other quarterbacks on this breakdown, we watched Skaggs put the ball where only his receiver could make a play on the football.

Tajari Wellington - 2026 - Texas Affiliated

With every quarterback we write down a word or two that gives us some notes to work off of when writing about them. For 2026 signal caller Tajari Wellington from Texas Affiliated, the word that came up the most was accountability. Not every throw is going to be perfect. Some quarterbacks blame their receiver or the play call or officials for not throwing a flag. Wellington took accountability for the offense even when the mistake wasn't his. He was a true leader from start to finish and that is such an underrated quality at these tournaments.

Tristin Schramm - 2028 - Texas Threat

Our final quarterback prospect that stood out to us is the only 2028 prospect on this breakdown. In fact, when we talked with Texas Threat signal caller Tristin Schramm after one of the games, we were blown away that he's just a freshman. His natural arm talent was arguably at the top of the list in terms of all quarterbacks that we watched this weekend. With a simple flick of the wrist and the ball was going 40 yards on a rope to his receiver. Schramm really impressed us this weekend and he is definitely a name to know in the '28 class.
