Film Review: 2029 Wide Receivers out the Carolinas

We're taking a deep dive into North and South Carolina to evaluate prospects from these two talent-rich states. Each receiver embodies the work ethic needed to chase greatness at this position. Next season, these young men will have countless opportunities to showcase their skills and give their respective programs a glimpse of what's to come.    Zavion Fuller is an athletic pass-catcher who is just an inch or so shy of six feet tall. He also has decent speed and weighs around 160 pounds. This contributes to his ability to get off the line of scrimmage quickly before snapping out of his route to showcase his skills. I like his hands and his awareness of body positioning when competing for the ball, whether in the air or the back of the end zone.     Maddox Raby is a tough receiver with reliable hands. His stop-and-go move at the point of contact leaves defenders frozen as he runs past. Maddox is also a strong competitor who isn't afraid to run routes that break inside or cross the middle of the field. He has good awareness and demonstrates a low center of gravity in his releases before coming back to the football with strong hands. Quarterbacks can afford to throw to a window because Amari has the acceleration to get where the ball is going to end up. His ball skills are high-level, and his body control when making plays is undeniable. He is also impressive after the catch, using his moves and speed to break away. Catching the ball comes naturally to him, whether it's a deep pass or a quick screen. Graham has the strength and speed to turn opportunities into big plays, and the first defender who tries to tackle him usually comes up short.     [player_tooltip player_id='1163065' first='Exavier' last='Allen'] creates problems on both sides of the football. As a receiver, there isn't a route he can't run. He knows how to change speeds to keep defenders guessing, and his size allows him to line up at multiple positions. Exavier will elevate or stretch out for throws that challenge his catch radius, and he takes pride in blocking on the edge to help spring the run game. At the end of the day, Allen is an All-Star talent still growing into his journey as a ballplayer.
