DAKOTAS-- With 2025 National Signing Day wrapping up yesterday, we move our recruiting calendar to the next class, the 2026 class as we hand out some early D1 grades across the Dakotas. As you can imagine, offensive and defensive line has presedent in this market.

Ever since we added Seth onto our 2026 North Dakota rankings around a month ago, the #6 (and likely rising) overall prospect in the state has seen his recruiting catch some sound waves at the Division I level. Kansas State, NDSU, UND all got the early nod during the contact period with Seth as there is a lot to like about this 6'5 275 pound offensive linemen from 11AAA state champions, West Fargo Sheyenne. The downhill finisher that Seth shows on tape continues to intrigue me also while showing off the balanced pad-level quite consistently. He also shows excellent width in his lower boy and intriguing hip flexibility for that excellent size that easily screams out with Division I size and the tape eval to match that Division I grade. By next update, I would bet a high percentage Seth bumps into our top five.

Surprisely during the contact period the next-level attention for Tobin didn't get over state lines, however there were some new waves created for Tobin. SDSU, USD, Minnesota, Augustana, Sioux Falls and Dakota State have all been in the loop for the 6'6 240 pound tight end. There is a small portion of tight ends in the Dakotas that are as fluid of route-runners as Tobin and several don't carry the big man body to box out defenders like Tobin does with his basketball background. Tobin also has intriguing upside as a run-blocker that's best years are ahead of him the right TE room as he owerpowers in 11B with his athleticsm. Could he be the next great small town South Dakota tight end at SDSU? With an older brother hooping at SDSU, I like those odds but certainly feel this young man will get a bunch more Missori Valley attention in the next several months.

I will own it, that Valley City 2026 defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1407882' first='Trey' last='McPartland'] SHOULD have been much higher on our 2026 rankings update as he grades out as a Division I target in our eyes at PRZ and others agree. The 6'6 260 pounder, is absurdly instinctive from his shedding hands, pad-level, and excellent vision into the backfield. The agile athletic movement I constantly see on tape also will open some eyes this summer at camps if not beforehand, as Trey is a defensive end that plays with excellent versatility in his skillsets and the grit if I were a college coach I would want in my defensive trenches. Trey is one if I were a Missouri Valley school, I would offer now not later, as once the secret gets out on Trey it's going to spread quickly.

Cody is a 6'6 260 pounder from Tea Area that has gather a mix of D2 and DI interest already this winter as a 2026 offensive tackle that my gut tells me will catch more waves once we get into summer camps as one of our top offensive linemen in South Dakota's 2026 class. The tape shows Cody can win 1v1 reps in muliple ways, but he intrigues me when he can drive leverage into the second level. Cody is one too that has great upside with growing his agility and foot speed as a pull-blocker which he already carries that downhill presence already, but I see how he could become even more violent. Cody is one that shows off as a contenous finisher on a consistent basis that college coaches are going to want to get on their board before summer and surely watch closely at camps.
