This Sunday, we will be hosting our winter Stock Up Showcase in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. We have a very talented group of athletes signed up from the classes of 2025-28. With that being said, I wanted to preview some of the top players that I'm looking forward to watching compete this weekend. After already covering the offensive side of the ball, I have now turned my attention to the defensive side of the ball. With the defensive line already taken care are, here are some notable defensive skill players to watch at this Sunday's Stock Up Showcase camp in Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='408628' first='Jordan' last='Holman'] is a high-caliber player that I'm excited to see at Sunday's camp. Holman plays strong safety where he is very reliable in coverage. He does a great job of reading the quarterback and flowing through coverage to put himself in position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he shows impressive ball skills, coming away with one interception this past season. Holman currently holds offers from Kentucky and Toledo and I expect more to come his way as he continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='840738' first='Wyatt' last='Raney'] is a player who has been high on my radar for a while now and I'm excited to watch compete on Sunday. He lines up at inside linebacker where he uses his speed to flow to the ball carrier in a hurry to make tackles. Raney finished this past season with 84 tackles and seven tackles for loss. He has also shown the ability to make plays in pass coverage, finishing his junior year with an interception. Wyatt hasn't received any offers but I expect his recruitment to start heating up heading into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1326126' first='Hank' last='James'] is currently ranked as our top defensive back in the state in his class. He is very reliable in pass coverage at safety. James does a great job of reading the quarterback and covering a ton of ground to make a play on the ball. He shows tremendous reaction skills when it is thrown his way, coming away with one interception and several pass breakups last season. Hank currently holds multiple Power 4/Division I offers and I expect more to come his way going into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1175778' first='Brayden' last='Lynch'] is another 2026 defensive back worth keeping an eye on at Sunday's camp. He lines up at free safety where he is very reliable in pass coverage. Lynch does a great job of reading the quarterback and route combinations to put himself in position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he breaks on it with perfect timing, coming away with two interceptions this past season. Brayden has received some college interest and I expect some offers to start coming his way heading into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1594843' first='Myles' last='Howze'] is a player who jumped onto my radar with an impressive sophomore season. He lines up at strong safety where he is very reliable in pass coverage. Howze does a great job of reading the quarterback and flowing through the secondary to put himself in a position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown tremendous ball skills, coming away with five interceptions this past season. Myles is a player who college coaches should have on their radar heading into his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610716' first='Harrison' last='Phillips'] is another player who caught my attention with a strong sophomore year. He lines up at middle linebacker where he is very impressive against the run. Harrison does a great job of reading his keys then using his speed then flowing to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle before they can get going. He finished this past season with 58 tackles and three tackles for loss. Harrison also showed the ability to make plays in coverage, coming away with an interception this past season. Phillips doesn't hold any offers but he should be a player to watch heading into his junior year.

My final defensive skill player to watch at Sunday's camp is [player_tooltip player_id='953600' first='Kyle' last='Sledge Jr.'] Kyle played a key role on varsity as a freshman a safety. He is very reliable in coverage, showing the ability to read the play and flow through the secondary to put himself in a good position to make a play. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown the ability to attack at its highest point, coming away with three interceptions as a freshman. Sledge is definitely a player for college coaches to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next few seasons.
