We released the updated 2027 prospect rankings on Tuesday. Here are 10 of the top New Additions:

[player_tooltip player_id='1604697' first='Brodie' last='Allen'], Loving: Allen was one of 2027's top all-around performers in Class 2A this past season. Offensively, he rushed for 429 yards and 5 TD on 77 carries while serving as the Falcons' backup QB. Defensively, he made 60 tackles with 4.0 TFL and 2 forced fumbles. Loving reached the 2A semifinals in 2024 and could have loftier goals in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1605059' first='Bryson' last='Bloom'], Alamogordo: The Tigers didn't make the playoffs but Bloom enjoyed a solid sophomore season nonetheless as he collected a team-leading 70 tackles, 4.0 TFL and 2 forced fumbles on defense, in addition to contributing on offense (193 rushing yards). Four of Alamogordo's top 5 tacklers on defense returns in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369761' first='William' last='Braun'], Albuquerque Academy: Braun won the Chargers' quarterback job during the summer and then proved why the AA coaches selected him during the season. He finished 2024 as the state's No. 2 sophomore passing QB with 2,374 yards and 19 TD in 10 games. In 2025, Braun looks to lead Albuquerque Academy into the Class 4A playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604779' first='Jett' last='Curtis'], Texico: The Wolverines overwhelmed most of their opponents en route to a perfect record and the Class 2A state championship. Curtis rushed for 613 yards and 9 TD and caught 8 passes as Texico's No. 2 RB and also contributed on defense. Curtis could ascend to the coveted No. 1 RB role in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604744' first='Jordan' last='Herrera'], Los Alamos: If you haven't heard of Herrera, you're probably not alone. Toiling in obscurity in the Land of Oppenheimer, Herrera was the state's No. 2 sophomore rusher with 1,388 yards and 19 TD on 196 carries. He helped the Hilltoppers win a district title and reach the Class 5A quarterfinals in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604684' first='Ryan' last='Romero'], Goddard: Romero followed up a promising freshman campaign in 2023 with a solid sophomore year for the Rockets. Unfortunately, Goddard finished 2-9, so you didn't hear much about Romero. He started the 2024 season by rushing for 74 yards against a stout Portales defense and continued from there.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604705' first='Micah' last='Takahashi'], Rio Rancho: Strong contender for Class 6A ‘Breakout Player of the Year.' Started the 2024 season as Rio Rancho's No. 3 RB and No. 2 QB. By the middle of the season he was the starting QB. Finished the year as the Rams leading rusher with 735 yards and 9 TD on 111 carries. He also threw for 765 yards and 8 TD. He's Rio Rancho's guy in 2025, so expect Takahashi to join the prestigious 1,000-1,000 club.

[player_tooltip player_id='1606042' first='Denton' last='Walker'], Las Cruces: Not often we see a sophomore linebacker amass 160+ tackles, but that's exactly what Walker did in 2024. Blessed with good size (6-foot-2), he led the Bulldawgs' defense with 163 tackles and 14.0 TFL, 5 sacks, 9 QB hurries and 2 INT. He already knows how to wreak havoc in opposing backfields. Potential is off the charts. Could become a major college prospect by the spring of 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604784' first='Cael' last='Walton'], Raton: The Walton Legacy continues at Raton. Following in the footsteps of Cayden (state's all-time leading rusher) and [player_tooltip player_id='613159' first='Cannon' last='Walton'], Cael enjoyed a promising sophomore season with 245 yards rushing, 22 receptions for 358 yards and 2 TD, and 66 tackles on defense. Raton reached the quarterfinals in their first season in Class 2A.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604984' first='Shamus' last='Wright'], Hobbs: On a talented offensive roster, Wright was the Eagles' top rusher in 2024 with 639 yards and 5 TD on 95 carries. He also caught 11 passes and returned kickoffs. He should be Hobbs' No. 1 RB for the next two seasons.
