In this day and age of specialization it is refreshing to continue to see two-way ballers and multi-positional playmakers still alive and well in high school football.

At some of the larger schools it is still common practice to play one way and for some of the smaller schools it will always be a way of life as they only have so much to work with.

In this report we will continue the weekend film review wrap-up, shining the spot light on two-way players who have been focusing on the offensive side of the ball with significant success.

Below is a snapshot of playmakers who are parlaying last year's seasons into 2025-momentum for this fall.

So, without further adieu, let's check out these ballers getting it done moving the ball:

[player_tooltip player_id='1610915' first='Cylis' last='Luther'], 5'10, 170, RB/LB/DB, Blue Valley SW, '27, is coming off a rock-solid sophomore season when he turned heads with his play last fall. He is a two-way baller who can play multiple positions on both sides of the ball. On offense he picked up valuable experience pounding the rock, with 30 carries for just under 200 yards, a six-plus yards per carry average and a score. When he wasn't on offense, he shifted gears to defense with a vegenance. He is versatile enough to play as a shutdown corner, ballhawk safety or even slide down and play outside linebacker as needed. Wherever he is playing he uses high-end read and react skills to collapse on the ball as a strong open-field tackler or knife through gaps to make plays in the backfield. On the year he piled up 45 tackles and recovered a fumble. He is going to go off in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610918' first='Sebastian' last='Bentley'], 5'9, 150, ATH, Rose Hill, '26, is coming off a good junior season when he did a little bit of everything in all three phases of the game. On offense he is a multi-positional playmaker who can line up as a wideout, play quarterback or even RB as needed. He is quick and elusive with the ball and has sticky hands, catching 43 passes for 684 yards and a TD, added another 200 yards rushing and passing, 300+ yards on returns and six total TD's. As good as he was on offense he was just as good on defense as a smothering, hard-hitting defensive back who racked up 26 tackles, a pair of TFL, a sack, a pick and a fumble recovery. And, for good measure, he averaged 39+ yards per punt. He is also a standout wrestler in the off-season. Get your popcorn ready for this guy when fall rolls around.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610922' first='Drake' last='Brecheisen'], 6'0, 235, OL/DL, Eisenhower, '28, is coming off a solid freshman season as an up-and-coming mauler in the trenches who can play multiple positions along the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. On offense he can play either guard or tackle and can already be counted on to make the key block. He has a powerful base with heavy hands that he uses to pound defenders into submission. He moves well enough to pull and trap and get out in front on the perimeter. On defense he is an aggressive anchor in the middle at nose guard or can shift out wider and blow up the running game between the tackles. He has the drive and is willing to put the time and effort into the year-around grind required to be one of the best. With a season of experience tucked away he will be ready to dominate later this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1254888' first='Joshua' last='Ibidokun'], 6'5, 325, OL/DL, Heights, '26, is a large and in charge man-mountain in the middle who is coming off a solid junior season getting acclimated to the varsity game. He is a massive presence on the line, with a powerful lower body and a strong reach, who can play either guard or tackle on offense. On defense he lines up as a space-eating nose guard or shifts out to defensive tackle. He is a bulldozer of a blocker in the run game, and besides his size and strength, has an excellent football IQ with top-notch read and react skills and trench instincts. In the off-season when he is not training for football he plays basketball and throws the shot in the spring. This guy has all the tools and is going to be ready to lower the boom in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='291673' first='William' last='Owens'], 6'3, 250, ATH, Derby, '26, after playing at Wichita East last fall he will be taking his versatile game to Derby to cap off his high school career with the Panthers. He would be hard pressed to find a better program to fine-tune his potential. A flexible baller, he can play multiple positions on both sides of the ball and it appears he will be focusing on playing tight end and coming off the edge on defense. With a powerful frame and good wheels he is athletic and disruptive as a defensive end, crushing plays on the perimeter. He has an extended reach, good hands and an excellent catch radius, which makes him particularly dangerous in the redzone. This spring he is playing 7v7 with Sharp Performance. He is due for a big-time senior year.

In conclusion, these guys are going to be fun to watch so don't miss your opportunity. And, as always, if you know of any ballers getting ignored, give me a shout via DM on X. Keep grindin'.
