Prep Redzone Louisiana's winter rankings process kicked off this past week with the latest 2025 update.

And a few familiar faces made additional pushes further up the list on the heels of productive senior seasons — and, in many cases, impactful playoff runs.

Here's a look at the eight prospects within the top 50 who made the biggest leaps, each moving up at least five spots from their preseason position.

No. 3 [player_tooltip player_id='914208' first='J.T.' last='Lindsey'] — 5-11, 190 RB — Alexandria

The LSU signee has been a top-15 or -20 prospect for a few rounds of rankings now and makes another big leap on the heels of a senior season productive and impressive enough to have earned Class 5A Outstanding Offensive Player recognition. Lindsey's final numbers landed at 324 carries for 2,476 yards and 33 touchdowns, plus 18 catches for another 248 yards and three scores against one of Louisiana's toughest schedules. And the monster numbers were consistently racked up in well-rounded and highlight-reel fashions, often with his quick feet and elusiveness, power, balance through power, acceleration and long speed all on display in rapid-fire matters of moments.

No. 6 [player_tooltip player_id='914207' first='Aidan' last='Anding'] — 5-11, 165 DB — Ruston

Another LSU signee who, in Anding's case, has continued to climb with every round of rankings updates since initially joining his schools' football team during the offseason before his junior year. The basketball and track standout brought an explosive burst, fluid athleticism and spring-loaded leap to the field that few peers can match, and he has continued to develop into and showcase himself as a more complete football player and playmaker with great instincts and ball skills and with a willingness to play with some physicality that doesn't always come with athletes transitioning from other sports.

No. 21 [player_tooltip player_id='914090' first='D.K.' last='Mays'] — 6-4, 250 DL — Central

The disruptive and versatile defensive line prospect earns his highest ranking to date on the heels of an all-state senior season. Mays was a handful for opposing offenses the past two seasons as a powerful athlete in the trenches with an explosive get-off and long frame. The Houston signee has the quickness to slip past blockers and the strength to flat-out bowl through them and, particularly as he continues to develop physically, possesses the potential to be effective from a range of positions across the line.

No. 25 [player_tooltip player_id='1214125' first='Joshua' last='Lewis'] — 6-5, 240 EDGE/DL — Dutchtown

Kicking off a string of Tulane trench signees on the list, the one-time Missouri commitment becomes the Green Wave's highest-ranked in-state prospect in the class after he moves up another few positions following senior season. Lewis is a long, lean and athletic edge rusher who plays with a high motor and uses his hands well from the initial punch to terminating plays with sure tackles or deflections out of passing lanes. His build is likely to bulk up notably at the next level, but even the younger, thinner Lewis showed the strength the power through blockers throughout this fall.

No. 32 [player_tooltip player_id='426963' first='Warren' last='Roberts'] — 6-3, 220 EDGE — St. Augustine

Roberts made a big jump prior to senior season following his impressive summer on the college camp circuit, including testing numbers that were consistently among events' most notable, and he moves up another few spots after a disruptive senior season highlighted by 11 sacks and 25 tackles for loss. The hometown signee for the Green Wave flashes his verified 4.47-second 40-yard speed in a hurry when he gets a clean angle to a passer or ball-carrier, but also shows the power and technique to beat blockers in a variety of ways. And Roberts plays with strong, active hands that both aid in his rush moves and help give him a knack for creating turnovers.

No. 42 [player_tooltip player_id='1220957' first='Juelz' last='Baptiste'] — 6-5, 295 OL — St. Augustine

The athletic left tackle further bolster his ranking among Louisiana's top 2025 offensive linemen with a strong senior season as a veteran leader and anchor for his Purple Knights' unit. Baptiste has a great Division-I frame and plays quick and light on his feet to stay in front of pass-rushers and often beat them to their spots. The Tulane signee garnered a wealth of interest during his recruiting process, including Power-Four programs, before opting for the hometown Green Wave where he has the potential to be a key piece of the class.

No. 43 [player_tooltip player_id='914206' first='Gresham' last='Perry'] — 6-4, 295 OL — Teurlings Catholic

Another talented offensive lineman who excelled at left tackle for his high school team with an impressive combination of strength and athleticism at his size. Perry may end up sliding inside at the next level, but looked quick and all-around mobile enough during a dominant senior season to potentially bring some positional versatility to Tulane's room. The Teurlings Catholic star earned the rare distinction of earning district MVP honors as an offensive lineman — and rightfully so for his tenacious performance and leading role in helping the Rebels control the line of the scrimmage throughout a successful 2024 season.

No. 45 [player_tooltip player_id='710768' first='Daejawn' last='Smith'] — 5-11, 170 WR — Edna Karr

Far and a way the biggest stock-riser in this round of rankings updates, the Louisiana Tech signee skyrocketed from largely under-the-radar athlete with largely running back snaps as a junior to all-state contender and ascendant college prospect as a senior receiver. Smith caught 53 passes for 1,007 yards and 13 touchdowns as one of Edna Karr's most consistent and most explosive weapons in the Cougars' run back to their first state championship since 2019. Smith remained a weapon with the ball in his hands closer to the line of scrimmage on occasional sweeps and screens, but consistently created separation downfield breaking free over the middle or blowing past defenders vertically.
