Today, I'm looking at some 2027 gunslingers that have made their way onto my radar. These guys may not be household names, but they each stood out at the varsity level as sophomores and put up quality numbers for their respective programs. Look for them to be even better in 2025 and continue their growth as prospects.

Kaine Hill, 6" 160, Springtown

Hill put up ridiculous numbers this fall, throwing for thirty-one touchdowns to just one interception. He's a rhythmic passer who throws with anticipation, has the arm to stretch the field vertically, and is dynamic on the ground as a runner. Not the biggest guy out there, but man is he effective.

Elvis Estrada, 6" 180, Johnson

This is an accurate passer that completed 70% of his passes as a sophomore. He shows consistent ball placement, he's got calm feet within the pocket, and is poised. He's quick and decisive on called RPOs and is a feathery deep ball thrower who puts plenty of air under shot throws.

Jp Reyes, 5'11" 185, Midland Legacy

Reyes throws fieldside routes with authority, he uses his eyes to manipulate defenders and is an accurate passer throwing on the move. He's unphased by the rush and is willing to take a shot from an unblocked defender, he's got excellent timing and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Kaleb Mcdougle, 6" 155, Georgetown

Kaleb drops the nine route right in the breadbasket over defenders, he easily identifies man coverage and has impeccable timing. He's got a quick setup, he can add zip for tighter window throws and can extend with his feet when the pocket collapses.

[player_tooltip player_id='1614574' first='Brody' last='Bartee'], 6'1" 175, Ridge Point

This young man has impressive improvisational skills; he's a natural throwing off-platform and forces defenders to lock on during the scramble drill. He's got a compact windup, he climbs the pocket with pressure bearing down and can add some serious heat for intermediate window throws.

[player_tooltip player_id='1562318' first='Jamari' last='Milton'], 6" 185, Andress

Milton has the athleticism to evade free rushers, he has the arm talent and touch for throws of forty yards plus and does a good job keeping his eyes downfield regardless of what's going on around him. He's a composed gamer who knows when to take a little something off throws as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1614564' first='David' last='Cooper'], 6'3" 185, Cedar Park

Cooper has a good-looking frame; he can alter his arm slot when need be and is a tough man to bring down within the pocket. He can place the football between two defenders, he's gritty and can rifle throws for cover two-hole shits.
