The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit kicks off year three in Texas for our second annual Lonestar State Showdown. Last year, we were down in the Houston area for our first event and this year, we've moved north to the Dallas area. The tournament runs from Saturday to Sunday with 18U and 12U being played at Frisco Memorial High School and 15U and 14U being played at Frisco Wakeland High School. Keep it locked into Prep Redzone online and on social media for updates during and after the tournament.

Before the tournament gets started, we're taking a look at some of the top prospects that are going to be in attendance throughout the weekend. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at some of the top two-way stars that will be coming to Frisco.

Jadarius Sanders - 2026 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back
(Playing With Prolific Breed)

Making the trip from all the way out in western Texas is 2026 two-way standout Jadarius Sanders and he'll be playing with Prolific Breed. Sanders is starting to pick up some serious momentum with his recruitment and this could end up being a very busy offseason for him. Sanders has been able to carry some momentum from his junior season in the fall. He was incredibly productive on the offensive side of the ball and we're looking forward to seeing what he can do on both sides of the ball this weekend. It will be interesting to see how he and this team matches up with some of the other squads in this division because the 18U division is absolutely stacked so the competition will be high.

Joziah McNeely - 2028 Athlete
(Playing With The LAB)

The majority of the top prospects we're highlighting are either 2026 or 2027 prospects. There aren't many 2028 guys that already have our attention but Joziah McNeely is one of them. McNeely is one of the fastest freshmen in the Texas 2028 class and it's only a matter of time before his recruitment starts to blow up in a major way. Hearing from some other people about McNeely, that first offer seems right around the corner and when it comes, they could start flooding in after that. McNeely is playing with The LAB and on paper, they look like one of the more talented teams in the tournament. They have dudes everywhere and McNeely is certainly one of them.

[player_tooltip player_id='1244498' first='Latreyson' last='Haralson'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back
(Playing With ETX Mob Elite)

2027 two-way standout [player_tooltip player_id='1244498' first='Latreyson' last='Haralson'] is definitely on the shortlist for being one of the top wide receivers in this weekend's tournament. Haralson will also patrol the defensive backfield at a safety position but make no mistake about it, this 2027 standout is known around Texas for his abilities at the wide receiver position. Haralson is already considered one of the top guys at his position in the state's 2027 class. His offer list is growing and it's starting to include some heavy hitters like Ole Mis and Texas A&M. His momentum is definitely going int he right direction and this could end up being a very busy offseason for the two-way standout from east Texas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1561276' first='Shahariam' last='Thurston'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back
(Playing With NTX Eagles Elite)

The NTX Eagles Elite have several players we'll be keeping an eye on but one that's at the top of the list is 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1561276' first='Shahariam' last='Thurston'] with the way he's blown up over the past few weeks. Looking at his offer list, it looked like every other day in January featured a new offer rolling in. Now, Thurston was listed on the NTX Eagles roster as a wide receiver and defensive back but he might be more of a defensive back moving forward. Everything we're seeing is pointing to him playing at the cornerback position. But this weekend, he'll have an opportunity to impact both sides of the ball. And the DB group we have this weekend is loaded so Thurston will fit right in on that side of the ball.
