Initial Top Five for 2028 Mississippi Rankings

The players in this group are some exciting guys out there. We feel like he was the guy who displayed the best talent in their class this season. We also feel like when it is all said and done, will be the most recruited player in this class. He is going to be a guy who is going to handle that business every time he steps on the field. He is a guy who has long strides. We have seen him have some good camp work outs. Jernigan is from Louisville.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1052388' first='PJ' last='Evans']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Evans is an offensive lineman from Jackson Academy who we think is going to continue to rise through the rankings. Evans is a 6-foot-3, 270-pound guy who is going to rock and roll. We are thinking that he is going to be one of those guys who will continue to get better as he goes along. Evans is also a player who is going to go out there and make defensive linemen pay. He is also known for creating paths for running backs. Be sure to keep up with this young man.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1600699' first='Acely' last='Brown']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown is an amazing running back who knows how to get out there and run the rock. Brown is a player who makes things happen when his offensive coordinator wants him. He is a guy who knows how to make people miss and can run right by them. Brown has been clocked at a 4.49 in the 40-yard dash. He has a lot of potential that could easily have him being a guy who is going to be picking up a lot of offers soon.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1249531' first='Kaiden' last='Buchanan']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Buchanan is going to be a player who will handle his every time he hits the field. He knows how to get around the edge. We are expecting him to continue to get bigger. He will be playing at Tupelo this season. Expect for him to start getting his name out there a lot more. He is one of those guys who does not mind coming up to make tackles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='648676' first='Braylen' last='Bedford']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bedford is a player who is going to get out there and be versatile. Bedford is a player who knows when to make things happen on the field. He knows how to be a pest at the cornerback position. Bedford was also known for creating a lot of turnovers last season. He is one of those guys who has been mentioned for playing multiple positions. We think he is going be a defensive back on the next level. He plays for Vardaman.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
