The class of 2025 was absolutely loaded at quarterback. This year's crop of rising seniors looks a little different at the top, but the depth of talent is certainly there. We've got gunslingers, two-way threats, and a bunch of gritty guys who just win games. Here's a look at the QBs in the 2026 class.

BREAKING DOWN THE TOP 5

[player_tooltip player_id='473002' first='Cameron' last='McMillon'] South Pointe

McMillon threw for more than 2,500 yards in his junior season - and that's on a team that featured a 2,600-yard rusher. He directed a Stallions' offense that accounted for nearly 7,000 total yards, and he was responsible for 32 touchdowns. He's a true pocket QB with all the tools. He's got a huge arm, he can make every throw, he can move the pocket, he's hard to bring down, and he's accurate on the run. McMillon could be in for an even bigger senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='284134' first='Jayvon' last='Gilmore'] Gaffney

Gilmore's another guy who might just be scratching the surface. Big body, big arm, and capable of making every throw, but Gilmore showed plenty of improvement as the season went on for the Indians. Gaffney played a ton of top-shelf defenses, and Gilmore rose to the occasion. He's got a wealth of athletes at his disposal in Gaffney, and he threw touchdown passes to five different receivers last year. Three of those guys are back, and Gilmore should have an even better grasp of the offense in his second year in the program.

[player_tooltip player_id='1025784' first='Roper' last='Wentzky'] A.C. Flora

Wentzky might be the quietest big name QB in the state. He directed the Falcons to an 8-4 record, completed nearly 63 percent of his passes, threw for more than 2,600 yards, and tossed 28 touchdowns. Wentzky has a rocket arm, good pocket presence, a quick release, and he really spreads the ball around. Eleven Falcons caught passes last year, and eight caught TDs, not counting the one Wentzky caught himself. He might be quiet now, but you'll sure hear from him next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='402509' first='Trevor' last='Kalisz'] Ashley Ridge

Sometimes you have to do away with the fancy analysis and keep it simple. Kalisz (pictured) can sling it. And he did last year, early, often, and continuously. He threw for more than 3,500 yards and 33 TDs, and he's mobile enough that he accounted for nine more scores on the ground. He's got one of his top targets coming back, the Swamp Foxes have more weapons coming in around him, and he'll operate behind a massive, veteran offensive line. Kalisz' video game numbers might just be scratching the surface.

[player_tooltip player_id='1267290' first='Ethan' last='Offing'] Dutch Fork

Offing has a chance to lead the Silver Foxes toward another state championship chase, and to set himself apart at the same time. In their recent run, Dutch Fork's QBs have been a little bit plug-and-play, with a new face stepping up to replace a graduating veteran. Offing's had the job for two full seasons now, and his third will give him a chance to make the team even more "his". He threw for nearly 3,000 yards as a junior, accounted for 32 total touchdowns, and is a guy with all the tools.

FIVE QBs PRIMED TO MAKE A BIG JUMP

[player_tooltip player_id='1166986' first='Messiah' last='Jackson'] South Florence

Jackson more than made his mark on the 2024 season, stepping in to start for South Florence and leading the Bruins to the 4A state title while throwing for almost 2,100 yards and 30 touchdowns while rushing for 11 more. He'll take on even more of a leadership role for the Bruins this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='283891' first='Noah' last='Thomas'] Belton-Honea Path

Speaking of guys inheriting a leadership role, Thomas is next in line as an offensive threat for the Bears. He threw for 1,800 yards and 26 TDs as a junior, but he's just as valuable as a runner in the Bears' offensive attack. He was third on the team with 417 yards, rushed for 6 yards per carry, and scored five times. If he can continue to be a true dual-threat, the Bears will continue to be dangerous.

[player_tooltip player_id='860400' first='Drevon' last='Dopson'] Brookland-Cayce

Dobson played well as a junior after transferring and overcoming a health scare. He threw for more than 1,600 yards and ran for more than 300, accounting for 26 total TDs. He's a camp monster who performs well against top talent and a guy who throws a great deep ball and who's great with his legs. Now imagine what he might do with a healthy offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165153' first='Gavin' last='Thoma'] Seneca

Thoma's got a talented OL, solid backs, and a stable of WR who are downfield threats. But make no mistake, he's the guy who makes it go for the Bobcats. He threw for 2,300 yards and 25 TDs, and he'll be back with a ton of experience to lead a Bobcats offense that looks ready to break out.

[player_tooltip player_id='797160' first='Moon' last='Gerald'] Loris

Gerald is in a fantastic position heading into his senior year. The Lions are coming off a historic year that saw a playoff run to the Lower State championship game, and Gerald helped lead the way. He's got his top three rushers and top receiver coming back, and Gerald himself brings back more than 1,700 yards of offense and 20 total touchdowns. He's a guy who just always seems to give his team a chance, he takes care of the ball, and he's capable of being explosive.

FIVE DARK HORSE QBs TO WATCH

[player_tooltip player_id='1403906' first='Banks' last='Bouton'] Greenville

Bouton is a true two-way guy, and is deadly on the run. With the Red Raiders bringing in a new coach and presumably a new offense, it'll be interesting to see how his season shakes out.

[player_tooltip player_id='1395087' first='Reid' last='McCollum'] Hilton Head Christian

McCollum is far and away one of the best players in SCISA. He racked up more than 2,400 passing yards, ran for nearly 850 more, and accounted for 37 total touchdowns. With a pair of sophomores and a freshman back at WR who accounted for 1,500 of those yards, McCollum's numbers could blow up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592374' first='Trey' last='Burke'] Spartanburg

Burke did a great job leading Spartanburg when the Vikings fought through a ton of injuries on the offensive side of the ball that limited most of their big-play guys. They're coming back, they're healthy, and so is Burke. The sky's the limit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592305' first='Ty' last='Foster'] Landrum

Foster had a huge junior season, accounting for more than 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns. The Cardinals have a ton of talent back at receiver, and their offense looks a little different than the bulk of their region, so Foster should have every opportunity to shine.

[player_tooltip player_id='1592321' first='Jameson' last='Dearybury'] Broome

Dearybury's got a big arm and he's a true passer, throwing for more than 2,000 yards last season. He's got a standout rushing attack behind him and a bunch of weapons back, and he could make some noise for the Centurions.
