2027 Sleeper Running Backs

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Today, we're looking at some sleeper-rising junior backs. These guys had productive 2024 seasons but haven't garnered a ton of attention just yet. Each one has differing skill sets, but I believe each has plenty of ability to play at the next level. Some even as high as the division one level. Look for them to hit the weight room hard this offseason as they continue their growth and maturation as prospects. He runs with good forward body lean, his feet never stop driving on contact and he consistently finishes runs falling forwards. He muscles through third-level defender's arm tackles, has the speed to outrun the secondary, and has a nasty jump cut in his back pocket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>[player_tooltip player_id='1888845' first='Kayden' last='Graham'], 5'7" 160, Judson</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Graham has smooth change of direction and can quickly accelerate into third gear. He can squeeze through tight quarters, is slippery on contact, and can split out wide &amp; add value as a pass catcher. He knows how to set up a tackler before sticking his foot in the dirt and heading the opposite direction, he's got excellent contact balance and makes defenders look silly tackling in space. I think he's going to have a massive jump in production next fall. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Rayshaun Williams, 5'8" 170, Kilgore</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A jitterbug-type back that can bounce a run and get to the edge of a defense. He adds toughness to cap off runs and will drag defenders with him, he can add value as a check-down out of the backfield and will get north &amp; south immediately following a reception. He will lower his shoulder &amp; burl his way through tackles when the time calls for it, he's got easy body control and can run between the tackles or outside of them.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Khelvy Jefferson, 5'3" 155, West Orange Stark</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Don't let this kid's size fool you; he is a baller! What he lacks in size, he more than makes up for in speed, strength, cutting ability, and vision. He uses his size to his advantage &amp; will often get lost behind the line before bursting through a seam. He's durable &amp; can handle a high volume of carries and backs down to no one. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
