2027 Rankings Update- Top 5 Prospects Across the State

Our new 2027 Rankings Update is live!   Today, we are taking a look at our Top 5 Prospects! These guys put together terrific seasons last fall- be sure to watch their film below!    [player_tooltip player_id='216690' first='Trent' last='Seaborn'] is once again the #1 player in our 2027 Rankings- the Thompson signal-caller has been unstoppable since his 8th-grade season and led his team to another 7A state title win last fall. Seaborn has a terrific understanding of his offense- he can quickly read defenses, makes great decisions under pressure, and never puts the ball in harm's way. Seaborn has some serious arm talent and can make difficult throws at every level of the field with elite accuracy and touch. Seaborn had another terrific season for Thompson last fall- ending his sophomore season completing 210/328 passing attempts for 2675 yards and 26 touchdowns to only 7 interceptions, with an additional 44 carries for 256 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Seaborn has been highly recruited since his 8th grade season, recently picking up offers from Georgia, Kentucky, Mizzou, and plenty more. Be sure to watch Seaborn next fall- he'll be hard to miss!      [player_tooltip player_id='1189059' first='Jabarrius' last='Garror'] is our #2 player in the state, and for good reason- he's completely dominated every OL he faced and made a ridiculous amount of plays in the backfield last fall. Garror is extremely athletic coming off the edge- he has an explosive first step, quick/aggressive hands, and plays with an elite combination of size, speed, and pursuit that makes him a game-wrecker every down. It doesn't matter what opposing offenses attempt to run, Garror has the natural ability to quickly diagnose and disrupt plays. Garror was unstoppable for Vigor's defense all last fall- ending his sophomore year with 104 total tackles (63 solo, 56 for loss), 21.5 sacks, 37 hurries, and 4 forced fumbles. Garror has received loads of collegiate attention with how well he's played and is currently committed to Alabama- be sure to keep watch these next two seasons, he's a special player!        [player_tooltip player_id='378345' first='Ba'Roc' last='Willis'] has completely transformed and opened up so much of Moody's defense the last two seasons- he's a dominant force off of the EDGE who completely wrecks games as a pass rusher and run defender. Willis is excellent against the run- he is terrific at setting the edge and not letting the ball carrier break to the outside, frequently creating huge stops at or behind the line of scrimmage. Willis is also fantastic as a pass rusher- he has a wide variety of moves he uses to beat OTs into the backfield, consistently generating pressure and placing huge hits onto the quarterback. Willis was even more dominant in his second year starting- ending his sophomore season with 95 total tackles (59 solo, 26 for loss), 17 sacks, 38 hurries, and 3 forced fumbles (one recovered). Willis has been highly recruited from schools all across the nation, listing offers from Alabama, Miami, Kentucky, and plenty of others. Willis is a special prospect who has been incredible through his first two seasons and will only continue getting better- there's a reason we have him as our #3 player in our Rankings!      [player_tooltip player_id='646290' first='Cam' last='Pritchett'] has been one of the top players in our 2027 Rankings since its creation- what he's been able to do for Thompson's defense has been incredible to watch, and this past season landed him as our #4 player in the state! Pritchett is quick off the snap and immediately generates tons of penetration into the backfield- he's excellent at stopping the run and can generate tons of pressure as a pass rusher. Pritchett is a hard prospect to slow down in the trenches, he dominates opposing OL with his power and speed and consistently makes or assists his teammates in making game-changing plays. Pritchett was unstoppable last season for Thompson's defense- ending the year with 78 total tackles (43 solo, 15 for loss), 6.5 sacks, 6 hurries, and one forced fumble. Pritchett has been picking up tons of collegiate interest, picking up offers from Georgia, Maryland, LSU, and many others all within the last few weeks. Pritchett has been a force on Thompson's defense for multiple seasons and will only continue to dominate- be sure to watch him next fall!      [player_tooltip player_id='1610217' first='Braden' last='Gordon'] is an explosive prospect out of Montgomery Academy who has been terrific at EDGE, WR, and RB, coming off a breakout season filled with him making game-changing plays all last fall. At 6'4 200, Gordon is excellent at using his size to his advantage on both sides of the ball- he consistently outmatches opposing DBs he meets out in the secondary, and completely overwhelms OL off the edge to create huge stops in the backfield. Gordon is highly athletic and plays with great speed- he can create a ton after the catch, can completely outrun defenses, and has the pursuit skills to hunt down the ball carrier every snap on defense. Gordon dominated both sides of the ball for Montgomery Academy- ending his sophomore season with 41 carries for 288 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground, 46 receptions for 749 yards and 8 touchdowns through the air, and 50 total tackles (37 solo, 14 for loss), 11 sacks, and one forced fumble. With production like that, tons of top-tier programs have been calling- Gordon has picked up offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and plenty of others over the last few weeks. Gordon has elite potential on both sides of the ball and is deservedly making his debut in our 2027 Rankings as the #5 player in the state! Be sure to watch him next fall- he's a talented player!
