As we enter a new high school football off-season in the state of Kentucky, we are in a new round of rankings updates. The most recent class to be updated is the class of 2027. With this update being officially posted, I will be taking the next couple weeks or so to break our rankings down by position. After already covering the quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers, here are our top tight ends in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky!

[player_tooltip player_id='1200686' first='Seneca' last='Driver'] established himself as the top overall player in the state in his class with a strong sophomore season. Driver played a huge role in the Boyle County passing game this past year, catching 24 passes for 353 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games. Seneca has impressive speed which he uses to pose as a vertical threat, whether it be from the tight end spot or out wide at receiver. He also has very reliable hands, showing the ability to make impressive catches away from his body with ease. Driver is also dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to pick up big gains. He also played a role on defense this past season, finishing the year with 36 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and two sacks. Seneca currently holds a long list of Power 4/Division I offers and I expect more to come his way as he is a high-caliber prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1200658' first='Maddox' last='Hager'] is another tight end who impressed at Boyle County this past season. He finished his sophomore year with seven receptions for 144 yards and a touchdown in 13 games. Hager has the speed to pose as a threat in the deep passing game along with the smoothness in his routes to create separation all over the field. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the ability to get up the field quickly and use his speed to pick up extra yards. Hager currently holds offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Western Kentucky, Miami (OH), and Cincinnati, and I expect more to come his way as he will likely play a much bigger role in the GRC offense as he transfers there for his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1314810' first='Max' last='Hunt'] is a player who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to stand out this past season. Hunt played a key role in the Holy Cross passing game as a sophomore, catching 20 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games. Max is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. He is also impressive after the catch, showing the strength to break tackles and speed to run away from the defense to pick up big gains. Hunt also made an impact on defense, finishing the season with 33 tackles, three tackles for loss, and three sacks. Max currently holds an offer from Kentucky and I expect more to come his way going into his junior year as he is a Division I/Power 4 caliber prospect.

The fourth and final tight end who made our updated Top 100 rankings for the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1610707' first='Brice' last='LaFevers']. LaFevers is a very reliable blocking tight end in the run game, showing the ability to pick up blocks in open space and drive his man out of the picture to create a running lane. He also played a key role in the passing game this past season, showing the ability to get open with ease and pose as a reliable target. Brice finished his sophomore year with 16 receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. He also played a role on defense, finishing the season with 38 tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks. Brice doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on heading into his junior year.
