I am particularly looking for the guys who are flying under the radar or who have played well and just haven't received much attention for whatever reason. Thankfully, PRZ encourages us to do just that.

In this report we will take another multi-positional look at some ballers from the Wichita and surrounding areas who caught my eye earlier in the fall and then again with the recent film deep dive.

So, without further adieu, let's take a closer look at five top performers from the class of 2026:

[player_tooltip player_id='1627580' first='Quinn' last='Street'], 6'0, 175, ATH, Osage, '26, is coming off a junior season shortened by a hand injury that limited him to six total games. When he was not impacted by injury he was burning it up on both sides of the ball. He is an athletic, dual-threat QB who can play any of the skill positions as well as a being a safety on defense. In his four games on offense he was electric, piling up 1,000+ yards running and passing, completed 72% of his passes and totaled 11 TD's. He throws the ball well, particularly on the move and throws off platform or from different launch angles seamlessly. On defense in six games (played two with a club) he had 30 tackles, three TFL and picked off two passes. He has great closing speed and next-level read and react skills flying to the ball. He is also a a standout in hoops and a burner in track. Get your popcorn out for this guy in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1634903' first='Micah' last='Galvan'], 6'0, 200, LB, Ellsworth, '26, is coming off an excellent season as a two-way baller who gave coaches and fans a glimpse of things to come. On offense he was a first-team all conference offensive lineman who was a mauler in the trenches opening holes and dominating his space. As good as he was on offense, he was even better as a ball-buster of a middle linebacker on defense. He has a strong base, weaponized hands and a hitter mentality that enables him shed blocks and aggressively stuff the run game between the tackles. When the play goes wide he has good lateral quickness and closing speed and when he makes contact, hits like a battering ram. In the off-season when he is not training for football he is a standout wrestler and baseball player in the spring. He is getting ready to dominate this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1516005' first='Tramel' last='Walker'], 5'11, 170, DB/WR, Hutchinson, '26, is coming off a breakthrough season last fall as an all conference d-back who had 29 tackles, a pair of TFL and picked off two passes. He is a three-way player who can line up at wideout or in the slot on offense, as a smothering defensive back or can return kicks and punts as needed. On defense this past season he was a versatile ballhawk in the secondary and can play either as a shut-down cornerback, or float deep as a safety and take out the opposing team's passing attack. He has great instincts and lightening-quick read and react skills. He is also a relentless hitter who collapses down and makes the big open-field tackle. He is gearing up for 7v7 with the Kansas Colts, and also plays hoops and runs track. This guy is getting ready to go off.

[player_tooltip player_id='1402695' first='Dustin' last='Cochran'], 6'4, 270, OL, Wichita NW, '26, is coming off a good junior season as one of the bookend blockers for the high-octane Grizzly offensive attack. He is a versatile brawler in the trenches who can play either tackle or even guard as needed. This past fall he played well enough to be named second-team all conference offensive lineman. He has prototype size and with his powerful base, reach and active feet he can perform all the blocks; from drilling down, to walling off in pass pro to chipping off and picking up linebackers or helping out a teammate. He has good mechanics and manuevers for leverage well. Once he locks on he usually drives the defender in the turf or delivers one of his signature pancake blocks. With last year under his belt he is going to dominate this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1536103' first='Jaylen' last='Wilson'], 6'3, 265, DL, Andover Central, '26, the "Boogieman" as he is called is coming off a standout season when he and his talented teammates won the 4A State Championship with a thrilling win over Topeka Hayden and finished 12-1. He played well enough to be named honorable mention all conference while racking up 27 tackles, five sacks, six tackles for loss and a forced fumble along the way. He is a versatile defensive lineman who can be moved up and down the line of scrimmage, playing the nose, moving to tackle and even storming the gates coming off the edge. He is particularly effective as a nose guard, where he uses his strength and quickness to overwhelm centers and cause disruption in the backfield. This kid is going to be a wrecking ball of a defender this fall.

In conclusion, get these guys on your watchlist and follow the lead-up to the 2025 season. And, as always, if you know of any players or teams “flying under the radar” give me a shout via DM on X.
