Coaches like to see defensive backs who have good hips, love to tackle, and have confidence. We know of some guys right here in Mississippi who fit all of those descriptions. They are real dogs who love to get busy on the football field. We have been keeping up with them. Let's check it out.

Desmond Ball

Ball is a defensive back from Clarksdale who we like a lot. Ball is an aggressive guy who loves to come up and make hits. We have seen him line up at the strong safety position a lot. In my opinion, he is going to be a safety or a nickel on the next level. Ball is a player who has good cover skills and knows how to sit down on routes. He has the confidence to be able to trust his ability and not be out there guessing a lot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581424' first='Ty' last='Edwards']

Edwards is a safety who we like a lot. We really feel like he is a free safety that is a field general. This is not the guy who you want to be playing with. Edwards can cover a lot of ground. Yes, he has the ability to allow your defense to play a lot of one high safety situations. We have seen him come up and make tackles. Edwards is also a true playmaker after he gets the football in his hands. At camps, we feel he needs to relax more and trust his natural instincts. This is a kid from Grenada.

Braydon Hardiman

Hardiman is a 2026 defensive back who we like a lot. We think he is a guy who is going to be coming back hard next season. Hardiman displayed a lot of good plays last season. Hardiman is one of those guys who knows how to mirror a receiver. We have also seen him be a guy who you can trust to secure the interceptions. Hardiman also has some good hips. We are going to be keeping up with him during the offseason. Hardiman is from Grenda.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227827' first='Zie' last='Buckley']

Buckley is a player from Union who we like a lot. This is a guy who we know is going to ball every time that he steps on the field. Buckley is also a player who has a lot of speed. When you see him play, you can notice that he is an electrifying player. Buckley is one of the guys who we have seen play both ways. He is a very talented prospect who is flying under the radar.
