In today's pass-happy era of high school football, wide receivers often steal the show with highlight-reel catches and game-breaking speed. Yet even in the dynamic Class of 2025, some talented wideouts remain under the radar—overshadowed by flashier names despite having the skills to succeed at the next level. In the second installment of our “Under the Radar” series, we're spotlighting these overlooked receivers, each looking for that late bump in their recruitment. Here's a closer look at the playmakers who deserve more attention.

Schwindt is a fantastic player with an impressive frame. He showcases great athletic ability for his size and is an old-school big-body wide receiver who can snag the 50/50 balls. His blocking also does not go unnoticed in his film. Schwindt should develop into a great all-around receiver at the next level.

Baltz was a significant weapon for the state-champ Lions. His route running impressed me the most, as he is very technical and purposeful in that regard. He is not one of those kids who are too flashy and do too much at the line of scrimmage or at the top of their breaks. Waltz is impressive and effective. This isn't even mentioning the fact that he is 6'4". I am excited to see where he ends up.

Bidwell is the second Marist player featured in this series, and there have only been two renditions so far! Marist, the 4A state champs, produces lots of talent that fall under the radar, and Bidwell is no exception. He is quite athletic on film and shows off some great route running and run-after-the-catch ability. He was a man amongst boys at the 4A level and I can only see success in his future at whatever program he decides to attend.

Kato was Sheldon's speedster this past season, providing reliable hands and consistent separation. I was also impressed with his run-after-the-catch ability, as he can easily catch the ball in stride and make some magic happen. Kato will benefit from a collegiate weightlifting program to beef up his wiry frame, but there is no denying that his skills are ready for the collegiate level.

Waples was a monster this year for the Foxes, averaging 24 yards per catch. With [player_tooltip player_id='511861' first='Sawyer' last='Teeney'] at the helm, he was a big play waiting to happen on that offense. I am not sure there is a more consistent receiver on this list. He has excellent speed, reliable hands, and the ability to create separation easily. Waples will be a massive get for many schools in the country.
