Today we will be taking a dive into the new names in the tight end group that were able to turn some heads this season. These are the players that were able to pop onto the radar and who you should know moving forward.

Hamlett is a great blocking tight end that can set the edge in the running game or stifle pass rushers off of the perimeter. With his blocking prowess and size I could see him easily adding some weight and making an impact on the offensive line. You can see him constantly making blocks down field driving defenders back. He still has the ability to get out on routes and make an impact as well. He has some offers and is looking to be a game changer at the next level.

Iwanski is a tight end that is dangerous in the redzone and is a threat to score with his ability to be a mismatch problem for backers and safeties. He is able to set the edge in the blocking game and is good at combo blocking, sliding to the second level to find more work. He has soft hands being able to reel in tough catches and shows great body control. He is a two-sport athlete that has some eye on him in football and I feel that he will be a great addition to whatever team is able to sign him.

Cottrell is a tight end that has soft hands and has the ability to lineup wide and create mismatch problems for defenders. He has some speed and has a physical running style when he has the ball in his hands, making the first defender miss and picking up chunk yardage. He has the ability to make blocks on the perimeter and can climb to the second level in a hurry. He has an offer and is still looking for a place to call home for programs looking for a dynamic tight end.

Benz was a nightmare of opponents being able to create chaos in the backfield and bring the ball carrier down in a hurry behind the line of scrimmage. He had a knack for creating pressure and being able to get off of blocks quickly. With his size, he will likely be an edge rusher at the next level or if he decides to play on the offensive side of the ball, he does have some soft hands and can be a threat in the redzone. I see him being able to make a big impact in the LB room at a D2 program and should have some eyes on him.

Cohen plays the game with physicality and tenacity on both sides of the ball and can be a force to be reckoned with. He brings that physicality with him on offense, being a head hunter and trying to take defenders heads off when he blocks. He is able to get hands on and throw defenders to the ground at times, being able to finish his blocks. On film you are able to see him create running lanes for his backs and is playing through the whistle. He is uncommitted and has some offers, he will have an immediate impact at any of those programs.

Today we will be taking a dive into the new names in the tight end group that were able to turn some heads this season. These are the players that were able to pop onto the radar and who you should know moving forward.
