2025 Rankings Update- New DB Additions

Brooks is a versatile DB who plays with a ton of speed and physicality. In coverage, Brooks is great in both man and zone, has excellent ball skills, can rack up PBUs and INTs, and never gets beat deep. Brooks is also a force against the run- he frequently lines up inside the box and racks up tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage, constantly shutting down the run. Brooks had a terrific senior season last fall, he's developed into a complete, versatile DB over the last few years and it shows in his film. Twyman is extremely versatile in the secondary- lining up and making plays outside, in the nickel, and as a safety. Twyman is extremely good at making plays on the ball- he's excellent at tracking the ball in the air, has great, active hands, and can constantly break up and intercept passes. Twyman is also extremely physical and is a force against the run- he can deliver some huge hits to the ball carrier but is also an extremely reliable tackler who wraps up and doesn't allow for any extra yardage. Twyman had a terrific senior season- ending the year with 84 total tackles (28 solo, 3 for loss), 16 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions. Wiggins is capable of making some jaw-dropping plays in the secondary- on tape you can find him ripping the ball away from WRs for interceptions, breaking up huge passes downfield, and forcing fumbles in the run game. Wiggins is highly athletic and can cover a wide range of the field- it's really impressive watching how he flies to the ball every snap. Wiggins plays with a ton of effort, has a high motor, and can defend the run and pass at a really high level all four quarters. King is terrific at reading and reacting to plays- he is really good at tracking opposing the quarterbacks' eyes, can change his direction and fly to the ball, and is a constant playmaker on the back end. King is a ball hawk over the middle of the field, he is great at tracking the ball and using his hands to haul in some impressive interceptions. King is also incredibly physical and can deliver some huge hits to WRs and in the run game, causing pass breakups and making tackles all over the field. King had a really productive year last fall, recording 27 total tackles (21 solo), 2 pass breakups, and 4 interceptions. Coaches, take a look at King's film! Phelan is excellent in zone coverage- on tape you can find him sometimes covering 2-3 WRs on one single play, he plays with a lot of athleticism and instincts he uses to not be easily baited by QBs. Phelan also plays with a ton of effort and pursuit- he doesn't quit on plays and will end up near the ball every down, regardless of where he lined up presnap. One of the most impressive things about Phelan is his quick reaction time- he is quick to adjust and flies to the ball immediately after the snap. Phelan had a terrific season for Montgomery Catholic's defense last fall- ending the year with 73 total tackles (42 solo), 6 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.
