West Boca Raton Ends Season Unbeaten

MIAMI – Over the past two off-seasons there may not have been a high school football team that had attended more events than West Boca Raton. It all paid off on Friday afternoon.

Sparked by a stingy defense that yielded just 32 points over the past five games, the Bulls became the first football team in school history to bring home a state title.

Finishing unbeaten at 15-0, head coach Dylan Potts and his team not only set the table for the present but continued to lay down a future with an impressive 26-7 win over Kissimmee Osceola in the 6A state title game at Pitbull Stadium on the campus of Florida International University.

“Hard work in the off season and a belief that we could do something special things was the reason for the success this season,” Potts said. “We are going to do the same things this coming off season and get back here again in 2025.”

The Bulls got out to a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter when junior quarterback Mason Mallory Mason Mallory 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas | 2026 FL found junior Kyle Andrews from 60 yards out at the 9:57 mark of the opening quarter.

West Boca Raton extended the lead on a 23-yard field goal by sophomore John Farfan with 4:51 left.

The Kowboys cut the lead to 10-7 when University of Central Florida signee Taevion Swint Taevion Swint 5'9" | 180 lbs | RB Kissimmee Osceola | 2025 State FL took it in from the 1.

The first half was truly a defensive battle with the two teams combining for 209 total yards. The Kowboys held a 17:03 to 6:57.

Farfan got the Bulls on the board again with a 31-yard field goal at the 3:15 mark of the third quarter and a 13-7 lead.

West Boca started to run away with the game with 3:44 left in the third quarter when Mallory found junior Mark Hanniford Mark Hanniford 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Delray Beach Atlantic | 2026 State FL from 47 yards out. The Bulls struck again with 3:19 left in the game, but this time from 93 yards out and a 26-7 advantage when sophomore Trey Moran found Hanniford.

West Boca Raton had 26 first downs to seven for the Kowboys.

West Boca had just 1 yard on the ground and Osceola finished with 170.

Through the air, Osceola failed to complete a pass – while the Bulls finished with 240.

Swint led all runners with 115 yards and Camren West Camren West 5'10" Osceola | 2026 FL had 74 yards.

Mallory was 6 of 11 for 147 yards and Trey Moran was 1 of 2 for 93 yards.

Defensively, Colton Carter Colton Carter 5'10" | 197 lbs | LB/LS Osceola | 2027 FL had seven tackles to lead Osceola. Elijah Melendez Elijah Melendez 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Kissimmee Osceola | 2025 State FL and Robert Lee.

Maxwell Reid Maxwell Reid 5'11" | 210 lbs | LB West Boca Raton | 2027 State FL led the way for the Bulls with nine tackles. Aaron Ford Aaron Ford 6'1" | 180 lbs | DB West Boca Raton | 2025 FL Jr. and Jamar Thompson each had seven.
