Making a pit stop in Illinois during Stock Up Showcase tour was a given. Full of talent and prospects ready to compete and distance themselves from the crowd. Here are some names you need to know after standing out on the defensive side of the ball this past Sunday at Willow Hill Dome in Northbrook, IL.

Keith Edwards was one of the standout defensive backs who got endless reps competing. When going against the wide receivers he broke on the ball with a vengeance. If he wasn't catching the ball, then it was a break up. No matter the height or speed of the route runner, Mr. Edwards stayed glued to the hip and showed a lot of discipline and trusted his instincts to make plays. His core stability, swift feet, and balance through drills caught everyone's attention and it showed up during competition as well.

Caleb had one of the better physiques out the d-line group and he looked even better ripping or swimming past his competition. He showed a plethora of strength going down the middle of blockers if he wanted, then transitioning to an edge rush to keep them off balance. The get off was on par with keeping the offensive lineman on their toes to make sure they got a good set on him early. Collins is future star and has a high ceiling representing Oak Park with a intimidating 6'3 240 pound frame.

[player_tooltip player_id='1570761' first='Eric' last='Heinle'] is a true defensive back who has the skills to play safety or corner. In a showcase like this he was able to show off his one on one coverage ability and fared well versus different types of wideouts. He tried to high point balls in his direction and got out of his back pedal with minimal effort to close the gap on double routes. During drills he looked comfortable and showed his quickness in some of the skill testing. Heinle is ideal height and has a great work ethic.

Justin grabbed attention during 1on1's by being physical and not going for the first move the running backs were giving. He showed urgency coming downhill in the score drill and made it difficult to run clean routes out the backfield. His heavy handed checks, along with agility made him a favorite to watch compete. I can only imagine the pop he would bring in pads.

Alshahrani came from out of town to get after it and that he did. Testing went well and then it was time to show his athleticism and laser focus during positional drills. By the time one on ones got going, Matthew was taking a lot of reps and winning most. If it was a catch, it happened in front of him. He broke up passes, and came down with some of his own. His energy was intense and he was fluid in changing directions at moments notice. This young man is a dog!
