PrepRedzone NY/NJ Showcase was a fun event - lot's of prospects from all over NY and NJ attended and competed at a high level. There were a lot of underclassman from New York that I kept my eye on throughout the event. While I was not able to catch every rep I made it a point to get at least several reps with my eyes on the NY guys throughout the day. Here are some thoughts on some of the underclassman prospects I saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575775' first='Declan' last='O'Meara'] - 2028 DL/LB Iona Prep

Declan O'Meara was one of the best looking freshman at camp measuring in at 6017 224lbs 74in wingspan - What position O'Meara ends up playing will be based a little off how his athleticism develops but I thought he looked good at camp - was definitely a standout freshman physically.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575773' first='Colin' last='O'Meara'] - 2028 WR/TE Iona Prep

On the other side of the ball [player_tooltip player_id='1575773' first='Colin' last='O'Meara'] measured in well at 6034 175lbs and 75.1in Wingspan with 10.2in hands - he has the frame of a young TE in the making. I thought the movement skills were solid for a young WR/TE prospect. He does also have strong hands he showed routinely the ability to snatch the ball out of the air without giving DBs much time to react and impact the catch point.

[player_tooltip player_id='1355470' first='Rory' last='McDermott'] - 2028 WR St. Anthony's

[player_tooltip player_id='1355470' first='Rory' last='McDermott'] came in at 6000 176lbs with 71in wingspan 9.8in hands - He had an impressive L Drill rep of 4.37 (hand timed) that I was impressed with - McDermott moves really well and won some reps with his size/athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575798' first='Julian' last='Febres'] - 2028 WR Iona Prep

One of the few freshman with a sub 5 second 40-yard dash I was impressed with Julian Febres build as a Freshman at 188lbs - 71in wingspan at 5092 was solid as well. I thought Febres was one of the better overall route runners at camp showing some explosiveness out of his breaks. One of the few young WR prospects who's was able to win at the catch point because of his body strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='1203417' first='Marquise' last='Chapman'] - 2028 WR Archbishop Stepinac

[player_tooltip player_id='1203417' first='Marquise' last='Chapman'] another freshman WR prospect out of Stepinac had a solid camp performance - he was on the wrong side of some missed throws on routes where he was able to separate well. I thought Chapman was one of the twitchier athletes at camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575785' first='Hazmire' last='Jones'] - 2028 WR Cardinal Hayes

I liked [player_tooltip player_id='1127302' first='Hazmire' last='Jones'] overall body of work at camp - I thought he ran a few different routes well and he jumped well for 5060 freshman with a 8'3 broad jump. I thought Jones showed some short area explosiveness similar to Febres - probably two of the more explosive freshman at camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575781' first='Ethan' last='Espinal'] - 2027 WR Archbishop Stepinac

Ethan Espinal was a really efficient route runner, little to no wasted steps or movements he tested well in the agility drills and has a 72.2in wingspan on a 5072 frame which could be a growth indicator. Impressed with Espinal's agile route running ability.
