The offensive player of the game and really all of the postseason has been [player_tooltip player_id='1228836' first='Dominic' last='Knicely']. Not just at running back either, we saw on site the many ways he beats you. Whenever Madison needs a big play they spread the Coastal Carolina commit out wide and he always gets open. He has brought a number of punt/kickoff returns back this fall and nearly took a punt back this past Saturday. It shows you how versatile and special he really is, I would not be shocked to see him suiting up for the Chanticleers as a true freshman.

Saturday was the last time Ambruzs and his fellow group of seniors would play at Madison High School and he went out with his best. Blocking a punt and setting up a score in the second quarter, Ambruzs was a menace. He did a great job of stopping Lake Braddock's run game and was all over quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1297748' first='Tyrone' last='Jackson'] most of the game. Obtaining 3 sacks and forcing a fumble deep in Bruins territory, Ambruzs had a game for the ages. The middle linebacker seems to have a feeling of unfinished business and who can blame him? Madison has been knocking on the State Title doorstep for 4 years, is this the year it finally opens?

[player_tooltip player_id='1231485' first='Caden' last='Green'] is an athletic defensive lineman, they way he sprawled out to recover a fumble late in the third quarter showed you. He too was a part of the reason Lake Braddock could not get their vaunted run game going all afternoon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1230176' first='Kai' last='Austin'] should have William & Mary fans jumping up for joy after his 201 receiving yards. Austin was nearly unstoppable in the second half, catching three touchdowns passes against a good secondary. He hit Madison's secondary on a couple of deep shots including one that Jackson dropped perfectly into his arms. Splitting two defenders Austin raced in for a 80 yard score, I will miss covering his playmaking speed.

Under duress much of the day Jackson came alive in the second half with three touchdowns passes and nearly 400 yards passing. Make no mistake he had some struggles like many quarterbacks have against this defense, but he still had a record setting day. Only a junior and seemingly healthy, Jackson should be one of the top ranked quarterbacks for this class. You can see up close how he throws the football so effortlessly, I would expect FBS level offers before his senior season begins.

There were others for both teams that had good games, Junior running back Jack Riccardiello and Matthew Weiler both look more than capable of taking the reins from Knicely next year. [player_tooltip player_id='1297865' first='Zachary' last='Hibner'] is going to be featured more in the Bruins offense with the graduations of their top three wideouts. Bottom line is do not expect either school to go away any time soon, bright futures with more classic matchups are on the way.
