Here we will take a look at quarterbacks who will be in position to dominate in the area for the senior seasons. The players listed have shown great skill and gained valuable experience last season, and will be keys pieces in the their teams success. These quarterbacks all have what it takes to elevate their teams and will be players to monitor this offseason heading into next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='950570' first='Romin' last='Seymour'] | Fort Bend Elkins | 2026

Seymour checks all of the physical traits wanted at the position. At 6'5-6'6, 200 pounds, Seymour stands tall in the pocket and delivers with pressure in his face. He has a strong arm with excellent zip on the ball. He can make big time throws showing little effort with pinpoint accuracy. Seymour is efficient making throws at all levels and has shown great touch on his deep ball. He shows confidence in the pocket and plays at his pace, rarely rushed making throws. He also has the athletic ability to break the pocket and make plays using his legs when needed. Seymour finished his junior season throwing for 1,801 yards and 15 touchdowns on 62% completion rate. He has the tools to be amongst the best in the state and will be a popular name this offseason.

Jake Westmoreland | Pearland | 2026

Westmoreland excels within the Oiler offensive scheme. He is a magician in play action, holding linebackers and safeties with his play fakes and delivering off-platform dots to his weapons. He has great athleticism, maneuvering in the pocket and extending plays, buying time for his guys to get open. Westmoreland has good drive on his throws, showing the baseball background by delivering with different arm angles. Westmoreland makes crucial plays when the team needs it and most importantly, takes care of the ball. He finished the season with 1,661 passing yards with 21 passing touchdowns on 61% completion rate, while throwing only 2 interceptions. He will be a name to keep eyes on for his senior season.

Kaden Mendenhall | Alief Elsik | 2026

Mendenhall navigates extremely well in the pocket, climbing up and out of the way of pressure all while keeping his eyes down the field. He is a deep ball launcher with good touch on his passes. Mendenhall can drop the ball in a bucket and thow his receivers open, especially when on the move. He uses his athleticism to his advantage as well, breaking the pocket and picking up chunk yards for the Rams offense with his legs. Mendenhall threw for 2,517 yards and 23 touchdowns while adding 343 rushing yards and 5 rushing touchdowns to his total.
