As we approach the final weeks of 2024, another week of high school football has come and gone in the state of Kentucky. With that being said, it is time to wrap up our coverage of this year's senior class with our final rankings update. While there were a ton of talented players in the class of 2025, we have narrowed it down to the top 250 players in the class. With that being said, I will be taking the next week or so to break down these final rankings by position. After already covering the offensive side of the ball, I will have now turned my attention to the defensive side of the ball. With the defensive line and edge defenders already being taken care of, here are our top linebackers in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='331755' first='Jeremiah' last='Parker'] climbed to the top linebacker spot in the state in his class following an outstanding senior season. Parker is a versatile player, showing the ability to play in the box at inside linebacker as well as on the outside. He is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to read the play then explode out of his stance to get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle before they can get going. Jeremiah finished the year with 128 tackles and 34 tackles for loss in 13 games. He also showed the ability to use his speed and strength off the edge as a pass rusher to get to the quarterback, finishing the season with 17 sacks. Parker also came away with one interception which he returned for a touchdown and caught one touchdown pass as a senior. Jeremiah currently holds multiple Division I offers and I expect him to be a key contributor wherever he decides to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='735605' first='Davion' last='Sturgis'] is a player who has quickly climbed up our rankings over the past couple seasons. While he has shown the versatility to play both inside and outside, he is at his best off the edge as a pass rusher. He is explosive out of his stance and uses his speed to blow by opposing offensive tackles with ease on his way to the quarterback. Sturgis finished the season with 13 sacks in 12 games. He also proved to reliable against the run, leading his team with 109 tackles and 15.5 tackles for loss. Davion signed with Eastern Kentucky where I can see him developing into a very productive player at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='422907' first='Hunter' last='Adams'] is a player who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to stand out as a senior. Adams lined up at inside linebacker where he was very impressive against the run. He does a great job of reading his keys then using his speed to get to the ball carrier before anyone can block him. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he has proven to be a very reliable tackler in the open field. Adams finished the year with a team-high 88 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss in 14 games. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass, finishing the season with two sacks and two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). Adams also played a role on offense, catching eight passes for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Hunter currently holds multiple Division I offers and I expect him to be a true impact player at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='735552' first='Brock' last='Driver'] is another linebacker who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to impress this season. Driver lined up at inside linebacker where he was dominant against the run. He does a great job of reading his keys then flowing downhill to get to the ball carrier in a hurry. Once Driver gets to the ball carrier, he explodes through contact and finishes his tackles with a ton of physicality. Brock finished his senior year with 85 tackles and three tackles for loss in 13 games. He also finished the season with four sacks and scored one rushing touchdown. Driver signed with Eastern Kentucky where I can see him being a productive linebacker at the next level.

To wrap up our top five linebackers in the class of 2025 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='735604' first='Logan' last='Busson']. Busson is a versatile player, showing the ability to line up at outside linebacker and also drop back into the secondary in a strong safety role. He is very reliable against the run, showing the ability to diagnose the play quickly then come downhill in a hurry to get to the ball carrier. When he gets to the ball carrier, Busson does a great job of running his feet through contact to secure the tackle and not allow for any extra yards to be gained. Logan finished his senior year with a team-high 76 tackles and 18 tackles for loss. He also showed the ability to make plays against the pass, both in coverage and as a rusher, finishing the year with two interceptions and four sacks. Busson signed with Bucknell where I can see him developing into a key piece of their defense.
