The season is wrapping up and the first signing day has come and gone. It's been an awesome 2024 campaign so far and I can't wait to see how it finishes up! Today, we're looking at some of the top 2025 tight ends in 4A that didn't sign during the early signing period. Their future levels of play vary, but I do believe they all have potential for the next level.

Lucas Jarnagin, 6'3" 205, Idalou

A smooth mover with quick hands and natural tracking ability. He's got deceptive speed, strong hands going over the middle, and will drag tacklers with him. He needs to add weight, but the ability and toughness are most certainly there.

Kaidon Breitling, 6'2" 245, West Plains

Kaidon actually played offensive line this year and was outstanding. Based on his size and previous experience I'd expect him to move back to tight end at the next level. He can bend, plays with an edge, is dominant at the point of attack, and has clamps for hands.

Brendon Ray, 6'3" 225, Bishop

Ray is an absolute missile who locks onto his target and delivers the boom as a blocker. He's highly productive off play-action and will barrel through opposing tackle attempts. He's athletic, has some pop at the point of attack, and plays with rage on both sides of the ball.

Breken Melton, 6'2" 210, Randall

Melton is a highly productive outside zone blocker who can reach nine techniques, he's got plenty of turnover on his knee drive and has a knack for sneaking out of the backfield into the flats for easy yardage. He's reliable, plays bigger than his listed weight, and works well with his double-team partner.

Hunter Byerley, 6'4" 235, Alvarado

Hunter has a massive catch radius, he has the speed to run by nosey defenders and immediately gets north & south following a reception. He's got terrific concentration in traffic, accelerates out of his cuts, and shows impressive body control for a man his size.

Cash Hurst, 6'3" 225, Celina

A complete tight end that can both catch and block. He's put together, effective as a puller on gap scheme runs, and will oftentimes put defenders on skates. He is a serious weapon in the red area and will make defenders with poor eyes pay.
