They call them the "trenches" for a reason, as being a lineman in football is an absolute war. If that is the case, then these five should receive medals, as they certainly stand head and shoulders above the rest, being the best of the best in the state of Tennessee.

Big and Mean are the two best words to describe Appleton's play. Appleton is the definition of the type of guy you want in the trenches, a gritty player who clearly wants it more.

As a blocker Appleton has a dominant power tool, able to manhandle opposing D linemen and force them wherever he wants them to go.

As a D linemen Appleton shows off textbook tackling and technique. Seemingly a big fan of the hip drop tackle that has made so many waves around the NFL.

6'2 300 Lbs is absolutely unfair in middle school, as Hamilton looks like a mountain compared to the other kids on the field.

Playing on both sides of the line, Hamilton is great at both, but based on his current size, and projecting where he may end up as he ages, its easy to imagine him developing into a star nose tackle.

Hamilton does not showcase much variety in his game, but he doesn't really need to. His power in his arms, and more importantly his legs, make Hamilton's power move and bull rush absolutely unstoppable.

Maliek Kirby is another play who's power is his best friend, and oh boy what a friend it is. Kirby is a nasty interior blocker, being able to quickly get his hands on his assignment and drive them back.

Kirby however isn't a one trick pony, as he also showcases some pretty good athleticism and ability to move in space. A skill that will serve him well moving forward.

While he currently plays as a G/C, I think Kirby has real potential as a tackle at the next level. Kirby's blend of power and athleticism would serve him well at that position, being able to use those tools to deal with either a speed or power edge rusher very effectively.

Vazquez is another hybrid player, lining up as an interior O lineman and D lineman.

Vazquez's quick burst make him an ideal fit as a rush DT at the higher levels, as his ability to quickly fire off the LOS and get into the backfield are second to none.

Simply put he is nothing short of a freak athlete, I've never seen someone at that size move as fast as Vazquez can.

Wallace is a unique case, as he currently plays majority TE on offense, but with his frame and ability it is incredibly likely he shifts over to OT in high school

Much like former Georgia and current Steelers TE Darnell Washington, Wallace is basically a 6th offensive linemen on the field at all times. Wallace is athletic, sneaky fast, and incredibly strong.

Many schools are already taking notice of his ability and potential, as he has already had visits to top schools like Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Indiana among others.

They call them the "trenches" for a reason, as being a lineman in football is an absolute war. If that is the case, then these five should receive medals, as they certainly stand head and shoulders above the rest, being the best of the best in the state of Tennessee.
