First rep on tape has Woods Jr. identifying the ball carrier from 20+ yards out and down with a huge tackle near the sideline, a tackle with more force than what you would expect from a 170-pound underclassman. Next rep has Woods Jr. playing outside slot, a rep in which he secures an interception that he returns for a score. Good tackler in the flat, good closing speed to the ball carrier. Woods Jr. is a DB you can count on to serve as a last line of defense in the secondary, brings effort when tackling/pursuing. Has a flurry of PBUs on tape that show he can cover too, some aligned at outside corner, some aligned at safety. This is where the promise lies in his game. Handsy, conscious of the football. Comfortable in off-coverage looks. Closes on the ball well, a smart football player who has an early understanding of leverage. Diagnoses run/pass well. An underrated prospect who will land on our 2027 rankings in due time.

Has a two-minute tape up on Hudl showcasing his regular season tape. Reps at right tackle start off his limited but quality sophomore reel. Comfortable working on an island, Montour deploys sets that require wide splits, Kolodynski can pass protect without combos or chips from teammates. I like Kolodynski's first step out of his two-point stance. Kolodynski can fire off a quick first step toward an opponent's correct shoulder while jabbing to work leverage in his favor. Good finisher, has a sense of violence when working down-blocking reps in run sets. Capable of working with his hand in the dirt in a traditional 4-3 look on defense (DE). A tough kid to kick-out block or seal off the edge. Fantastic engaged and mirrored post-engage at right tackle. Tackle reps are good enough to project him to OL at the next level. Proficiency in pass-pro reps has me excited about his future.

Catch in traffic skills are what you'd expect from a wideout towering near the 6'3 threshold. Hand-eye coordination is a plus, Cook's catch radius can extend a foot above his helmet. Can exist in a traditional X receiver alignment yet Lower Merion flirts with aligning Cook in the slot on several occasions. Hand user as wideout, especially off the LOS, good sign. Can be trusted to play center field in single-high sets, speaks volumes about the trust he's earned from the Lower Merion coaching staff, this as an underclassman. Unafraid to fill the alley in support of the run. A kid that is often around turnovers, he's forced and recovered some fumbles on tape too. Is a tough kid to bring down with momentum. Speed and agility aren't his calling card, yet if Cook builds up momentum after the catch, he's going to bull through DBs easily. An exciting prospect, one whose name I will share with Division One coaches in the area.

6'0, 255 pounds. Two-sport athlete. Saw him in person in a playoff game against Steel Valley, Smith dominated the trenches on his way to earning 1st-team All-Conference honors as a sophomore.

Loved watching Smith keep with technique, keep a low pad level and his motor running dispute fatigue setting in against Steel Valley. A huge sign of a future perennial all-conference type of defender. Love the ability to get skinny in the hole, [player_tooltip player_id='1398307' first='Jaylen' last='Smith'] can split gaps and create up-field penetration to absolutely wreck both run and pass plays before they begin. Smith does an outstanding job sliding along the line in an effort to disengage and pursue the ball carrier. Couple this with his ability to recognize and diagnose the run/pass on the fly, kid is proficient between the years, especially given his age and experience. Smith blends twitch and power better than many of the current defensive linemen ranked ahead of him. I don't think Smith needs to lose or gain any weight, what should be a priority in the weight room is making sure he gets rid of any baby fat while maintaining the mix of lower leg drive, limb strength, and foot speed that has propelled him to success as a sophomore at Seton LaSalle. Exciting player, arguably the best on this list.

Holds offers out of Penn State, West Virginia, Syracuse, and Toledo. These after Charles posted his junior tape showcasing 15-20 QB pressures/hurries created on the back of six sacks.

Charles works with an FBS-level get-off at the LOS, a get-off that often has him out in front of would-be pullers to blow up running plays. Weight is an unknown, looks like he has plenty of room to fill between his pads on tape. Operates out of a three-point stance in a 3-4 look, shading the outside shoulder of tackles. Obvious length that puts him ahead of the curve. Explosive hips that send him off the line in a hurry, can change direction like an OLB. Is conscience of the football throughout pursuit. Will rack up strip-sacks next year if he continues to develop. Still has to develop a PR repertoire, most young pass-rushers do. What's a plus, however, you can see Charles win both inside and out of tackles. Charles has the speed, balance, and agility to run around tackles, yet keep linemen guessing by stunting inside of B-gaps. Could grow into a physical specimen, this is likely what Power Four programs are banking on. Charles is already this good, what if he put on more muscle? Great player here.

Fits the mold when projecting him to corner/DB at the next level in terms of physical attributes. 6'0 is more than an ideal height. Cain is a bit frail in terms of weight yet he just turned in his sophomore tape, he has ample time to turn 165 into 175. We don't want Cain to be a turnstile in run support.

Cain's tape begins with him at back, catching a swing out of the backfield and making several defenders miss on his way to the end zone from 60+ yards out. A back with supreme patience behind the LOS, Cain is shot out of a cannon once he decides to hit a seam. Unsure if he's a pure back at the next level, which is why I liken his abilities to the DB or WR position, this depending on how he tests/runs in a combine setting. A playmaker in the open field, a type of player that is a no-brainer to man punt and kick returns. Active in the screen game on offense, Spring-Grove does what it can do get Cain the ball in space, his reel is filled with positive reps that seemingly should have been stopped in their tracks. Going to place well on our rankings. Would love to see him at one of our showcases to get a full evaluation based on testing numbers.
