He has the potential to be a high-impact quarterback at the next level and<br>has ideal size/growth potential for the position with sneaky athleticism outside the pocket and when buying time. Barker is a true pocket passer with plus movement/running abilities and has a quick and snappy release while putting good spin on the ball and shows he can fit it into tight windows while throwing with good velocity and touch over the top, often throwing his receivers open. He also shows he can throw on schedule balls into tight coverage, scans the field quickly and moves defenders with his eyes before coming back to his primary read. The dual-threat passer has a live arm downfield, quick release and can spread the ball around while moving quickly through his progressions. Powell is also a very dangerous runner with an elite initial burst, downfield long speed in the clear and shows strong pocket presence when stepping up or rolling out and taking off against pass rushers. The First-Team all WCAL selection threw for 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns while tacking on another 400+ yards rushing and 5 touchdowns this Fall. On tape, he shows great pocket mobility while keeping his eyes downfield and has a quick release while able to get the ball out fast under pressure and evade the rush/buy time with his legs. Once he tucks it and runs, he has a good initial burst, shows long speed and can make defenders miss in the hole with cutback abilities in the open field. He has a strong arm and ball placement downfield, shows he can throw on the run and also does a good job at buying time with his legs while keeping his eyes downfield. He threw for 1,700 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding another 375 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns. He threw for 1,900 yards and 21 touchdowns, while tacking on another 2 rushing touchdowns. Gomez is a quick processor in the pocket, shows he can deliver on time throws downfield while also able to evade pressure and throw accurately on the run and is seemingly comfortable throwing both out-breaking and in-breaking routes with good spin and ball placement to throw his receivers open.
