2025 Position Breakdown- Wide Receivers Who Dominated This Fall

At wide receiver, Thomas has great size, speed, and hands that allowed him to create a ton of explosive plays all season long. Thomas can make plays at every level of the field, but especially as a deep threat- he has great speed, runs with a long stride, can make contested catches, and can split double teams with how good he is at finding separation from defenders. All these things showed up on tape this season for Thomas, he ended the year with 58 receptions for 1145 yards and 17 touchdowns- consistently finding ways to win matchups downfield for huge gains and massive scoring plays. Thomas committed to North Alabama earlier this summer, it's going to be exciting to see how does at the next level! Newell is a crafty wide receiver who thrives off his ability to gain separation from his route running, speed, and quick footwork. It's really impressive watching Newell and his ability to track the ball through the air, he does an excellent job using his eyes on over-the-shoulder balls/fades, and always knows how to position himself to bring in tough-to-catch passes. It was easy to see his skill set on full display this year- he ended his season with 58 receptions for 1020 yards and 8 touchdowns, consistently making plays against some tough defenses every week. Potter is a versatile wide receiver who can line up and make plays in the slot and outside, making it tough for defenses to keep up with and defend him. Potter can run a wide variety of routes really well- he does a great job finding separation at every level of the field and is an incredibly reliable target with how good his hands are. Potter has a great set of hands he uses to make tough catches- he doesn't use his body, can highpoint the ball, and can fight through defenders' contact and coverage to haul in catches. Potter had an explosive season this fall- he ended the year with 57 receptions for 1041 yards and 16 touchdowns. In his senior season, White had a terrific season at wide receiver. At 6'4 195, White has great size and athletics to make plays at the position. White does a great job using his size to bully smaller defensive backs- frequently White highpoints the ball and uses his height to make grabs over the top of DBs. In addition to his size, White can make a ton of plays utilizing his speed as well- he can cover a lot of ground easily and can easily outrun defenders in the open field. White is a huge threat after the catch and it shows in his stats- he turned 53 receptions into 1313 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. Hester was productive for Ohatchee's high-flying passing attack throughout his whole career but had his best season yet for them this fall. Hester does a great job using his athleticism to his advantage- he frequently outmatches defensive backs with how athletic he is and can make tons of explosive plays. It's really impressive watching Hester go to work on opposing DBs, he can burn them downfield, inside and outside the numbers, and can make every catch needed when he's targeted. Hester has had a huge season this year, he ended the year recording 70 receptions for 1188 yards and 15 touchdowns.
